Elementary Summer School Planning May 24, 2016 On Tuesday, May 24, 2016, Donna VanHooser met with Barbara Levandoski, Sue Redman and Emilia Rivas to discuss the summer school planning process. Donna works with Barbara and her team to select elementary school students that qualify for summer school sessions. Donna then creates another program will produce a summer school letter for each student, notifying them that they qualify. These letters will be delivered before the end of the school year. Key Performance Indicators for PEIMS Data 92 90 Norma Blenderman, PEIMS Coordinator, continues to work with the district s data to submit it to the state as required. The data must be free of fatal errors before the state will accept it. Because the is the first year that CFISD is utilizing the state s new submission system, TSDS (Texas Student Data System) our Data Accuracy Score is lower than last year. The state s new system is using a different technology than the previous system. It is using XML data files, which are huge files (800mb +) and difficult to decipher. Norma continues to work hard to meet the submission timeline. The KPI goal is 90%
efinanceplus 5.1 Upgrade Begins Step One We are HERE The upgrade process for CFISD s finance system, efinanceplus is entering its initial phase, installation and system configuration. There are three major phases to this upgrade process: 1. Installation and configuration of the efinanceplus 5.1 system 2. Conversion of the data and programs 3. May 23, 2016 Vendor Conflict of Interest Form Eric May, Neetha Chada and John Crumbley joined Carol Oman, CFISD s internal auditor and her assistant Janet Tapia- Gonzales, on Monday May 23, 2016, to discuss status of the Vendor Conflict of Interest (COI) online form. This is a form required by the State of Texas stating any relationships that exist between vendors and officers of the school district. You can learn more about CFISD s COI policy here. Preparing for the new Benefits Administration Software Spock Mark Flores T Traweek Eric May Eric May, Mark Flores and T Traweek met on Friday to discuss the conversion of the district s benefits administration partner. CFISD is switching from BenefitsConnect to TCG BenefitSaver. It is critical that the appropriate benefit information transfer properly between CFISD and TCG. The ISA team is integral to ensuring that this is successful. Spock (of Star Trek fame) over saw the meeting. As you can see it the picture above, T is a Star Trek fan.
May 26, 2016 Microsoft for Education John Crumbley had the opportunity to join Kim Osborn and the Microsoft Team for a road-map update. This is a meeting that Microsoft hosts to share with CFISD how it can better serve the staff and students now and in the future. We spent some time discussing how Microsoft and add value to the ISA team specifically. Out of this meeting will spring additional meetings to discuss specific initiatives.
