TROOP 55 Holy Name of Jesus Troop 55 is proud to announce that three HNJ alumni have acquired the rank of Eagle this year. This past fall, Charlie Long earned the rank of Eagle Scout. This past April, James Blake and Alexander Hildreth also earned the rank of Eagle Scout. According to Troop Scoutmaster Chris Algero, these boys are the latest in a long line of Troop 55 Eagle Scouts. At over 80 years old, Troop 55 is one of the oldest and most active Boy Scout troops in the country. Also, Troop 55 is one of the most diverse groups in the New Orleans area with boys from six different schools comprising one troop. But the common denominator of Holy Name of Jesus has given the troop a long-lasting solid foundation of tradition and excellence!
