Section 1 Application Information Application Submissions Please Note: 1. Individual Skills Programme Application Forms must be submitted in respect of every Skills Programme to be funded. For example: Employer ABC wants to placed 5 staff on skills programs, 3 staff will attend a program on Corporate Governance with 10 credits and 2 staff will attend a course on Computer Literacy with 15 credits. Both programmes are offered by accredited training institutions. Therefore employer ABC will fill in two Skills Program application forms for the two separate programmes because an employer cannot put two programmes on the same application form. The employer can put as many learners on one application form as they wish. 2. Skills Program Funds will be disbursed at the discretion of INSETA in line with the INSETA s Discretionary Grant Policy and Guidelines. 3. Skills Programme Fund Applications FOR CASH GRANTS must be submitted after the skills programme has been completed and the learner has been certified or received their statement of results. 4. INSETA will fund a maximum cap of R5000 per learner, irrespective of the number of modules currently registered to study. If the number of modules fees exceed R5000, Table of Contents INSETA will only refund you R5000. If the learner only completed 1 module @ R1750, then INSETA will only refund you R1750. 5. All programmes must start before 30 October 2015 and end before 30 January 2016. 6. The Skills Programme must be credit bearing. 7. This Skills Programme can be done by any accredited training institution. 8. The Skills Programme must directly or indirectly support and up-skill occupational areas listed in the INSETA Skills List or address skills in demand mentioned in the INSETA Sector Skills Plan which is on the INSETA website www.inseta.org.za under the Skills Division webpage. Please download both documents for reference purposes. 9. INSETA will only pay for learners who have passed the programme and that received a certificate of Competency or statement of results. 10. Your applications are not limited to insurance specific programmes so you may apply for any accredited credit bearing courses during this period above. 11. Funding will be issued on a first come first serve basis. 13. Where the Employer is a skills levy payer with INSETA; levy payments must be up to date; and WSP & ATR must have been submitted to INSETA. 14. This is available for download from the INSETA homepage. 5.1.2 A Cancelled Cheque or stamped proof of banking details from your bank so that INSETA can pay the programme fee into the company account ( INSETA will only pay into business account and not into personal accounts); 5.1.3 Certified copies of the learners ID book; 5.1.4 Proof that the company has paid the training provider for the full skills programme fee (very important that the invoice/remittance advice, states the skills programme name and learner name), remittance advices accepted from training providers on the employers account. 5.1.5 Certificate of Competency or Statements of Results reflecting all subjects passed. INSETA will not refund the learner that was found not yet competent in a skills programme. INSETA internal process: *** INSETA will process applications within 3 weeks. *** An allocation letter for funding will be sent to the employer to accept the funding that has been approved by INSETA. *** The employer can send the invoice with the signed allocation letter.
