Roundtable Ground Rules Listen actively -- respect others when they are talking One person speaks at a time; no side conversations Refrain from I had a student questions Ask concise questions to allow others an opportunity to ask their questions as well 4

CSU Systemwide Information 5

Student Information Dashboards http://www.calstate.edu/as/ 6

Admission Area Versus Service Area Admission Area Campuses have designated what they define as their local admission area. May affect students eligibility and admission requirements Based on the Community College (not home mailing address of student) Service Area Ensures that every Community College has a CSU Campus to provide a service (i.e. CSU presentation, CSU Application workshop, etc.) 7

http://www.calstate.edu/sas/documents/csulocaladmission-serviceareas.pdf 8

ADTs Guaranteed Admission to the CSU but not specific program or campus Given Priority When Applying to a Similar Degree Must Meet Standard Admission Criteria Guaranteed Admission with Junior Standing Admitted Directly Into the Major Non-resident and International applicants afforded the same considerations Must Meet Existing Minimum Eligibility Requirements Change of Major = No Longer Guaranteed Completion in 60 units 9

ADT - Priority Consideration CSU Campus Admissions Impaction Status No Impaction Campus Impacted Program Impacted (Any CA Student) Campus & Program Impacted Similar Degree Local Applicant Priority Admission Min 2.0 GPA Priority Admissions Min 2.0 GPA Similar Degree Non-Local Applicant Supplementary GPA Requirement Additional.20 GPA Point Supplementary GPA Requirement Additional.10 GPA Point (20 seats for more) Supplementary GPA Requirement Additional.10 GPA Point (20 seats for more) 10

Redirection ADT applicants who are not admitted to an impacted major or campus are redirected to a CSU campus which still has enrollment capacity. CSU campuses receiving redirects are being identified during each admission cycle based upon 1) not being impacted and 2) the ability to accommodate additional enrollment in the particular term. Asking Applicants their Redirection Preference 11

Additional Notes Chico: Depends on volume of applications which drives out of area GPA. San Diego: Highest Priority Admission ADT & Admission San Francisco: A 0.1 GPA boost is applied to out of service area applicants who to not meet the enhanced GPA, as long as the minimum GPA is at least 2.0. San Luis Obispo: If the ADT degree is verified (in-progress or completed), MCA points will be given at the equivalent of 0.1 GPA bump. The ADT is only one variable in our comprehensive San Marcos: Accommodates all local area transfers first.
