Junior Leadership Merced Class 14 2017 2018 Application Deadline: Friday, September 15, 2017 by Noon Interview Dates: September 20 & 21, 2017 @ 4 6 pm Incomplete applications will not be accepted APPLICATION The purpose of Junior Leadership Merced (JLM) is to identify and develop effective community leaders among the high school citizens of Merced County. Junior Leadership Merced will expose high school students to work within the community, and provide them an opportunity to meet and network with current leaders. 1. The goals of the program are to: 2. Provide students with leadership skills they can utilize in their future careers 3. Provide students with an opportunity to tour local businesses and learn about prospective careers in a variety of different areas 4. Provide students with an opportunity to network with local businessmen and women as prospective future employers 5. Provide students with an opportunity to learn management skills for future use 6. Provide students with an opportunity to gain insight into the professional world, its demands and expectations 7. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Applicants are selected for an interview and are scheduled to meet with the interview team who, together with the Junior Leadership Merced Chair, make final selections. Applicants will abide by all final decisions of the interview team. Applications must be submitted by Friday, September 15, 2017 BY Noon.
