Allied Health, Nursing and Health Science

Blue Ridge Community & Technical College New Main Campus, Martinsburg, WV Hastings+Chivetta was hired to design a new campus for Blue Ridge Community and Technical College, in association with Bastian & Harris Architects. The new facility houses the administrative headquarters of the institution as well as significant health science facilities, including an EMT simulation lab, nursing skills labs, home health lab, medical assistant lab and physical therapy assistant lab.

Truman State University Health Sciences Building, Kirksville, MO Truman State University sought to build new synergies and facilitate resource sharing between allied health and nursing. Hastings+Chivetta designed a consolidated home for the nursing, communication disorders, health and exercise science and athletic training programs. Included are a nursing simulation lab, large labs for movement science and exercise physiology, flexible classrooms and office suites. Also included is a new audiology clinic, staffed in part by allied health students, with diagnostic suites, therapy rooms, and a sound-proof booth for hearing evaluations.

East Central College Health and Science Building, Union, MO Hastings+Chivetta designed a new facility for East Central College that consolidates science and allied health programs in one building. Specialized labs were created for the nursing and EMT/paramedic programs, including a clinical nursing lab, two simulation labs for nursing and EMS/paramedic programs, and a 640 SF ambulance bay. The programs are supported by science labs for biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, genetics/microbiology, biotechnology and anatomy/physiology.

Ivy Tech Community College Health Science Expansion and Renovation, Madison, IN Hastings+Chivetta, in association with The Estopinal Group, designed a major expansion and renovation of the Madison campus for Ivy Tech. The campus was redefined to accommodate new academic courses including Paramedic Services, Nursing, Medical Assistant, and Healthcare Support. These programs are supported by a distance learning classroom, student commons and lounge and library, as well as general science labs, lecture halls and classrooms.
