Parade of Banners All Councils are encouraged to bring their council banners to the convention and to participate in the Parade of Banners at the Banquet on Saturday evening. Immediately after the close of the Saturday afternoon Business meeting, the State Warden will ask all councils who plan to participate in the parade of banners to come forward. He will record the council number and name and title of person who will be carrying the banner (normally the GK). This information will be used to announce each council as the banner is carried into the banquet room. 1. Participants will meet outside the banquet hall at 7:30 pm. 2. Participants may pre-position their banner stands anywhere along the side and back walls of the banquet room any time after the banquet room has been setup by the hotel staff. Make sure you are able to identify your stand when it comes time to place their banner during the banquet. 3. After placing their stands in the banquet room, councils will line up in the hallway in numerical order by council number, from lowest-to-highest, (704 16903) and prepare to enter the banquet hall. 4. The State Warden will introduce each council, their location, and the name and title of the person carrying the banner. This process will continue until all participating councils have been introduced. 5. As each participant is introduced he will: i. Proceed down the right side of the hall, cross the front of the hall in front of the head table, and proceed back on the left side of the hall and place his banner in his pre-positioned stand. Once the banner is in place, he will proceed to his assigned table. ii. All participants must follow these same procedures even if their stand is on the right side of the hall (everyone must pass in front of the head table with their banner). 6. Councils are responsible for retrieving their banner and stand at the conclusion of the banquet. 7. Please direct any questions to the State Warden.
