DRAFT AGENDA Updated April 2, 2018 THURSDAY, JUNE 7 Registration 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. FRIDAY, JUNE 8 Registration 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. International Association of Fire Fighters FIRE OPS 101 Event 7:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Video from the 2017 USCM FIRE OPS 101 Event Miami, Florida Mayors and their staff attending the 86th Annual are invited to participate and learn what their Firefighters and Paramedics do every day protecting communities across the United States. The scenarios will include Live Fire, Search and Rescue, Vehicle Extrication, Cardiac Arrest Response and Beach/Surf Rescue. This opportunity is being organized by the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF), Boston Fire Fighters Local 718 and the Boston Fire Department. Mayors and staff may participate in one or more of the following timeslots: 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. This event is for mayors and their staff only and space is limited. Please register in advance using the IAFF event website which provides details of the event and an easy online registration form. (Transportation: Boston Fire Department vans will be available to shuttle participating mayors and city staff to and from the Marriott Copley Square.) 1

SUNDAY, JUNE 10 EVENING EVENTS EDUCATORS: BOSTON PUBLIC LIBRARY 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. A red carpet entrance on the Dartmouth Street Plaza will greet guests as they enter the Boston Public Library, the first large municipal library established in the country (1848). Guests will dine on local favorites while seeing some of significant artifacts which fill the Rare Book Room, the Map Room and more. The newly renovated Johnson Building will feature desserts and coffee. To cap off the evening, guests will be treated to a concert on the steps of the Boston Public Library. Guests from Boston s esteemed university community and others will be invited to join the conference delegates.
