RESOLUTION NUMBER A resolution appointing an Interim Building Official(s) WHEREAS, effective February 25, 2015, the Linn County Board of Supervisors appoints Paul Rohlwing, Luke Maloney and Andrew Oien to share equally in the responsibilities as Interim Building Official and to remain so until such time as this appointment is rescinded. The Interim Building Official is authorized and directed to enforce all the provisions of the various building codes and their referenced technical codes. For such purposes, the Interim Building Official shall have the power to render interpretations of these codes and their referenced technical codes. ASSIGNMENT AGREEMENT WHEREAS, Linn County, Iowa is the holder of a certificate of purchase at tax sale for a parcel of real estate GPN# 14204-82002-00000 as evidence by PB 117-10, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, in the original amount due of $3965.00 along with accrued subsequent taxes, assessments, interest, fees and costs years in the amount of $1008.00, and; WHEREAS, Fran-Gard Properties, Inc., desires to obtain an assignment of the aforementioned certificate of purchase and has made an offer of $3000.00 for the certificate and in full satisfaction of the total amount now due, and; WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Linn County, Iowa is authorized pursuant to 446.31, Code of Iowa, to assign certificates of purchase and to compromise the total amount due by written agreement. IT IS THEREFORE AGREED that Linn County, Iowa, shall assign Linn County certificate of purchase number PB 117-10, to Fran-Gard Properties, Inc. for the total amount of $3000.00 and payment of the $10.00 fee required by 446.31, Code of Iowa. Upon receipt of a tax deed by Fran-Gard Properties, Inc. for the above described parcel, the Board of Supervisors of Linn County, Iowa, shall abate, by resolution, all other taxes, assessments, interest, fees and costs that have accrued on the parcel to the date of the issuance of the tax deed. Upon approval of the Linn County Board of Supervisors authorizing the chairperson to sign this agreement, this agreement shall be filed with the Linn County Treasurer who shall make said assignment upon receipt of $3000.00 and payment of the $10.00 fee. Upon entry of the assignment into the County system, 446.37, Code of Iowa shall apply. Upon issuance of a tax deed, the Linn County Treasurer shall cause a resolution to be prepared and presented to the Linn County Board of Supervisors for abatement of all other taxes, assessments, interest, fees and costs that have accrued on the parcel up to the date of the issuance of the tax deed.
