Who Is Eligible to Apply: Any new or existing students and their families may apply for scholarships (please see individual scholarship to determine eligibility). Please note that, to apply for a scholarship or bursary, a student must either be enrolled or officially offered a place at Eaton Arrowsmith (Eaton Arrowsmith School, Eaton Arrowsmith Academy, Eaton Cognitive Improvement Centre and Magnussen School) for the 2018-2019 school year. How to Apply for a Scholarship: Eaton Arrowsmith offers the following scholarships (described below). All applications must be submitted by 12:00pm on Wednesday December 6 th and successful applicants will be notified by December 14th, 2017 for the 2018-2019 school year. Please Note: Students and their families can apply for multiple scholarships but can receive only one. Students may receive both a bursary and a scholarship (must be applied for separately). A separate essay/presentation must be provided for each scholarship. Please submit all scholarship application documents as one package by mail or email. Scholarships are awarded annually. Scholarships Available: Awarded Annually The Eaton Arrowsmith Community Scholarship, funded by members of our community: This scholarship is awarded to the student who shows commitment to bringing his or her community together and commitment to the inclusion of others. Amount: $5,000.00 The International Scholarship in Recognition of Ben Chen: This scholarship is awarded annually to an international student continuing his or her program who demonstrates not only excellent cognitive engagement but also shows resilience, citizenship and commitment to program completion. Amount: $2,500.00 Status: Returning Only International Students Only The Howard Eaton Scholarship for Early Intervention: This scholarship is awarded to a student from British Columbia or Washington entering his or her first year in one of our schools. Howard is the founder of Eaton Educational Group and when he was diagnosed with a learning disability as a child in Vancouver his parents enrolled him in a boarding school for students with learning difficulties in the eastern United States in order for him to receive support. He hopes that with this scholarship he can support the needs of a local student. The Adult Learner Scholarship in Recognition of Angela Smith: This scholarship is awarded to an adult student who is committed to continued post-secondary education and/or vocational training and who demonstrates commitment to pursuit of the Arrowsmith program. Amount: $5000.00 Age: Students 18 and Over on September 1, 2018 The Eaton Arrowsmith Ambassador Scholarship in Recognition of Arlo Rose: This scholarship is awarded to the student in our community who acts as a role model for other students and demonstrates enthusiasm for the Arrowsmith Program and community engagement. Amount: $5000.00 Status: Returning Students Only The Eaton Arrowsmith Part Time Program Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to a new or returning part time program student who, along with his or her family, shows commitment to cognitive growth.
