Box 130 Delta, Ontario K0E www.beverleylakepark.com Email: bevlake@ripnet.com Thank You for Your Support Believe it or not but plans are well underway for our sixth annual Celebrating the Season Christmas program which will be held each Saturday night from November 20 th to December 18 th. As many are aware, several of our seasonal campers volunteered their time to sell admission tickets at the gate on the Sunday of Delta Fair. In recognition of your support, the Fair Board has donated $500 to the Park Management Board which will be used to expand the Christmas lights program. Thank you to the following campers for volunteering on our behalf: Don Biccum, Kaitlin Briggs, Marg Brooker, Gail Buccino, Wayne Garrett, Ron and Elaine Griggs, Roger and Marg Guevremont, Rose Hyland, Eldon and Denise LaCharity, Lester Pearson, Leanna Roth, and Steve Sudds. A special vote of thanks is extended to Marie Sudds; not only for her time at the fair but for organizing this activity. Campers Recreation Committee Our Campers Recreation Committee will be holding their Annual Meeting at the Bradford Pavilion on Sunday, August 29 th at 1:00 p.m. New members are welcome to attend. If you are unable to attend and wish to help with next summer s activities, please contact Pat Phillips at Site D-06.

The first place winning team included Bob, Laura, Scott and Dean O Brien. Page Three Seasonal Site Renewal Packages Renewal packages for the 2011 camping season will be available at the Gate House during the Labour Day weekend. All agreement forms and deposit payments need to be returned by Thanksgiving Monday. In the event that a site is relinquished and becomes available, this information will be contained within the October issue of the Park Post (published after Thanksgiving Monday) During 2011, the park will be open to the public between the dates of Friday, May 6 th and Monday, October 10 th. Terry Fox Run Using the Delta Fair Grounds as a starting point, The Terry Fox Run / Walk will once again be held in Delta on Sunday, September 19 th starting at 9:00 a.m. For more information, contact Yvonne at 613-928-2741 To make a pledge, contact one of the following: Valerie (Site H9), Jean (Site J7) or Marilyn (Site A36) Calling All Horse Shoe Players Amateurs and professionals alike are invited to join in for a friendly game of horse shoes at the Bob Bradford Memorial Horse Shoe tournament. Campers Supporting Food Bank Thanks to the generosity of our campers, 19 bags of groceries and $45.00 were collected during the Rudy and Saddle Up Concert on August 1 st. Food Bank volunteers Heather and Claire Cowley received the camper donations from Valerie Doyle and Gerald Phillips.

Time sure flies when you are having fun. The park has been busy throughout the summer thanks to the tireless efforts of our Seasonal Campers Recreation Committee and volunteers. Thanks to all of the campers who donated to the Food Drive in support of the Delta Food Bank. Here is an idea; when you are packing up your trailer for the winter, don t take home that last bit of canned food, bring it to me and I will pass it on to Claire and her volunteers. I hope that you all enjoy the rest of our summer! From the Desk of Anna Greenhorn Delta Mill Society Liaison As you enjoy the remainder of the summer, I would like to invite you and your family to visit The Old Stone Mill and the Museum of Industrial Technology. Thinking ahead to Thanksgiving weekend, perhaps you would like to visit the Thanksgiving Festival on October 9 th and 11 th. Open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, this weekend promises to provide something for everyone. Local produce, crafts, baking and preserves will be on sale. You can also try your hand at our new fishing simulator! Watch the blacksmith at work, or just enjoy a hot dog and some apple cider at the refreshment booth. If you are a first time visitor, marvel at the technology as you take a guided tour of the mill which is the only grist mill in Canada to be designated as a national Historic Site.

Page Six Ball Diamond Construction Project Construction has begun on the Canteen / Washroom building at the Ball Diamond. It is the hope of the Management Board that following construction, we will once again be able to host ball games / tournaments and outdoor music concerts at this venue. 2nd Annual Memorial CHARITY SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT in memory of Hugh Chisamore Join us for a full day of baseball competitions on August 29 th at our Ball Diamond. Game play starts at 8:30 a.m. and will proceed rain or shine. Proceeds from the day will be donated to the Music Department at Rideau District High School in Elgin and the Westport Kraft Hockey-Ville 2012 Committee.
