To ensure attendees who are either governing officials or professional staff we are prepared a comprehensive program which includes: Pamela Creedon, Executive Officer, Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board discussing salinity management strategies; Technical forums addressing sustainability opportunities such as the use of solar energy, various biosolid treatment issues and their impact on the carbon footprint and stormwater management; Directors and Managers meetings featuring tool box talks on the latest electronic technology that will help us communicate efficiently in the workplace; Current state and federal legislative activities, regulatory and legal affairs updates presented by CASA s panel of experts; Dr. Sally Brown, Director of Soils Laboratory, Ecosystem Sciences Division of the University of Washington will be a speaker at the Land Issues Forum. The conference will be opened at Thursday s luncheon where delegates will be briefed on current activities of the Executive Board and the Association. As always, Saturday s closing session will feature reports about our core programs followed by committee action reports. The CASA Council will also be presented with a number of items for discussion at this session. Join us in Lake Tahoe for the CASA Spring Conference. CASA is the leading voice of the wastewater community in California as well as in Washington DC. For this conference, dress is casual and our goal is to encourage dialogue with our presenters and within our membership on all of the issues facing the public wastewater agencies. Please attend the President s Reception and on the lighter side, our Friday evening High County Banquet featuring unique entertainment provided by musicians who are actually part of the CASA family the Sludge Tones. See you in April. Sincerely, Kamil S. Azoury, CASA President CASA Spring Conference Ensuring Clean Water for California
