Mother s Day Out is registering! MDO is now accepting registration for the fall. This is a great developmental program for kids ages 6 months-5 years old. Please call Mary Gaines in the parish office at extension 16 if you have any questions about this positive ministry or would like to register your child. Saint Michael Youth Ministry St. Michael would like to welcome Mary Rak to the staff as our new Middle School Youth Ministry coordinator. We are sure she is going to do a fabulous job guiding our youth. We offer her our congratulations and full support. The EDGE, catechesis for middle school youth, will begin September 15 from 6:30 p.m. 8:00 p.m. Youth must be registered in order to participate. Registration may be done any time Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. 5:00 p.m. If you have any questions or wish to volunteer to help with The EDGE or other middle school youth ministry activities, please contact Mary Rak at 972-279-6581 ext. 14. On Tuesday, August 31, Father Joseph will give a talk on St. Maximilian Kolbe. He was an amazing Franciscan priest, martyr at Auschwitz, and is the patron saint of families, pro-life, and our difficult century. Potluck dinner will begin at 7 p.m. in rooms 110/120, and Father will begin speaking at 7:30. Come learn about this fascinating saint who greatly influenced Pope John Paul II and who contributed much to our understanding of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
