BRECKINRIDGE COUNTY MIDDLE SCHOOL 4-H Outdoor Adventurers/Science Club The BCMS 4-H After School Club students will be working ball game concessions on Thursday, January 5th, Monday, January 9th and Thursday, January 12th. Students and parents working need to be at the school by 4:15 p.m. (ct). The club will meet on Tuesday, January 10th and Tuesday, January 24th from 3 to 4 p.m. (ct) in room 307 at the Breckinridge County Middle School.
4-H Poster Contest WHAT DOES 4-H MEAN TO YOU? This is the theme for this year s District 5 4-H poster contest. It is time to get busy creating your poster! Here are the rules: Deadline to Submit poster: March 3, 2017 RULES: 1. Poster must have 4-H in the title and it should display what 4-H means to the 4-H er or what 4-H provides for boys and girls. 2. Age categories are Grades 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9-12. 3. Copyrighted characters cannot be used, such as, Peanuts, Charlie Brown, and Mickey Mouse. Digitally designed art is accepted, but must be the original work of the 4-H er. 4. Posters must be designed on poster board 14 X 22 (1/2 of a regular poster board.) Posters may be produced by any medium, such as, water color, ink, crayon, pencil, paint, but cannot be three dimensional. 5. All posters must have a completed title form. Affix the form on upper left hand corner of the back of the poster. Forms are available at the office. 6. NO sharing posters. Posters are individual. 7. Deadline March 3, 2017 (all posters must be submitted to the Extension Office before 4 p.m. ct). Teen Corner Teen Club & Marketing Committee Teen Club will meet Saturday, January 14th at 12 noon in the Extension Office Basement Kitchen. A pizza lunch will be provided! Invite your friends! The Marketing Committee will meet during the Teen Club meeting. Teen Leadership Academy Teen Leadership Academy will meet Wednesday, January 18th in the Hardin County Extension Office. The group will meet and leave the Breckinridge County Extension Office at 7 a.m. (ct). The topic for the day is Media and Public Relations! Career Club Career Club will meet Monday, January 30th at 7:30 a.m. (ct) in the Extension Office. NOTE: Club members are reminded to dress professionally as they will be visiting with community leaders. District 5 Teen Council The District 5 Teen Council meeting will be Monday, January 9th at the Taylor County Extension Office. Parents Corner Breckinridge County Sewing Circle Paper Crafters Scrapbooking Group The sewing circle meets the second Tuesday of each month from 9 a.m. (ct) to noon in the Extension Office Basement Boardroom. The Paper Crafters will be meeting on Tuesday, January 17th at 6 p.m. (ct) in the Extension Office Basement Kitchen.
