China Youth Development Foundation (CYDF) The China Youth Development Foundation (CYDF) was founded in March 1989. As a national public fund-raising foundation committed to public donations, the CYDF is open to China and other authorized countries and regions. Our mission: The CYDF is committed to helping young people build capacity and to improving the environment for the development of youth by providing aid services, expressing the interests of young people and by carrying out social advocacy. Our network members: the CYDF is the owner of the service trademark of the Project Hope. Through trademark authorization, the CYDF has established a partnership network throughout China in cooperation with 33 foundations at the provincial level.

Program 1: Project Hope The CYDF launched the Project Hope on October 30, 1989. Its mission: to make education accessible to all peasant children. By the end of 2009, through the Project Hope, a donation of RMB 6.03 billion had been raised, 16,355 Hope Schools had been established, and 3,493,175 impoverished students funded.

Stars of Hope Scholarship Program: 1. The Project Hope has been committed to providing students of good character and scholarship from impoverished rural families (including migrant children) with scholarships for their study and daily life. 1. Primary student: RMB 1,000 (for 5 academic years) 2. Migrant child: RMB 600 (for 1 academic year) 3. Junior high school student: RMB 2,000 (for 3 academic years) 4. Senior high school student (technical students): RMB 3,000 (for 3 academic years) 5. University student: RMB 4,000 for fresh in a lump sum; RMB 20,000 for 4 years

Donations to rural primary schools for building schools and fixing schools in desperate need of repair A donation of RMB 400,000will establish a Hope School in an impoverished area

Extended Programs of Hope School: 1. Project Hope Teacher Training: a donation of RMB 3,000 will help provide training to 1 teacher from a Hope School. 2. Hope Computer Lab: a donation of RMB 10,000 will help provide a school with a set of computer-aided teaching facility equipped with one printer, one printer, and many teaching CDs; a donation of RMB 100,000 will provide a computer lab (20 computers, 1 printer, and many teaching CDs). 3. Hope Happy Cinema: a donation of RMB 50,000 will help provide a Hope School with a set of digital film projector with spare parts and films. 4. Hope Happy Playground: a donation of RMB 20,000 will help provide a playground with basic PE facilities. 5. Hope Happy Music Classroom: a donation of RMB 25,000 will help provide a set of music teaching equipment with basic teaching facilities. 6. Hope Library: a donation of RMB 10,000 will help set up a small library boasting 1,000 books

Upgraded Programs of Project Hope Donation to Students 1. The 1 (fund support) + 1 (work-study program) +1 (public service) mode for university students KFC Mode, Jeanswest Mode and L'Oréal Mode To help students transfer from being helped, helping themselves to help others. 2. Establishment of BN Vocational School ( BNVS for short) BNVS is open to children of migrant workers and impoverished families, and is committed to provide them with completely free two year vocational education. Two schools, respectively in Beijing and Chengdu, have been founded. It is scheduled to set up 3 schools respectively in Wuhan, Nanjing and Sonya City. In the next 3 years to come, 10 schools will be set up in China. Its mission: to establish a public welfare mode of direct service through the platform of the vocational schools

Achievements in Project Hope: 1) Tangible support to impoverished students and rural compulsory education; 2) Changed the destiny of the recipients; 3) Inspired the public including governments at all levels to pay more attention to education; 4) Blazed a new trail in calling for the public to develop rural education in partnership with the government; 5) Provided experience in the development of Chinese public welfare; 6) Opened a new channel for the public to lend a helping hand; 7) Provided a platform for emotional communications During the past 20 years since its inception, Project Hope has gained sustainable and steady growth in fulfilling its mission providing aid services, expressing the interests of young people and carrying out social advocacy

Assessment Report on the Influence of Project Hope: Project Hope enjoys a popularity of 92.2% among the urban residents. 62.6% of urban residents have donated to Project Hope; 57.4% of individual donators have provided most of or all of their public welfare donations to Project Hope; 67.9% of legal person donators have provided more than 50% of their public welfare donations to Project Hope. 68% of individual donators are satisfied with the management and operation of Project Hope; 87.6% of legal person donators are satisfied with their cooperation with Project Hope. 92% of recipient students have expressed their willingness to participate in public welfare campaigns. Our donation has exerted positive influences on these recipient students. In addition, it has also profoundly shaped their value and enhanced their awareness of participating in public welfare campaigns.
