NATIONAL PANHELLENIC CONFERENCE FOUNDATION NASHVILLE AREA PANHELLENIC ALUMNAE ASSOCIATION Women s Scholarship Application Guidelines This application consists of five parts and can be downloaded from www.nashvillepanhellenic.org: 1. Completed application form (2 pages) 2. Personal statement including reasons for applying for this scholarship 3. Official high school transcript 4. One letter of recommendation from an academic advisor such as a teacher, principal, or counselor 5. One letter of recommendation from a personal contact, other than a family member All applicants will be reviewed based on scholarship, school activities, community involvement, personal statement, and recommendations. Nashville Area Panhellenic Alumnae Association (NAPAA) funds may be used only for undergraduate tuition, fees, or books. Scholarship monies will be awarded when NPC Foundation receives a copy of the recipient s transcript and tuition bill, upon the conclusion of the Fall 2017 semester/quarter. If the recipient should withdraw from school during the 2017-2018 school year, she must immediately refund the total amount of this scholarship to the Nashville Area Panhellenic Alumnae Association so that another woman can receive the scholarship. It is the applicant s responsibility to make sure all necessary forms are received by the deadline. Incomplete applications will not be considered. A scholarship application must: Be a permanent resident of Metro Nashville, Davidson, Williamson, Sumner, Wilson, or Rutherford counties and currently be enrolled as a senior in High School. Intend to attend a college or university that has National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) or National Pan- Hellenic Council, Inc. (NPHC) sororities. Receive all requested recommendations in a sealed envelope with the recommender s signature across the envelope flap. Send all materials, application form, personal statement, two recommendations, and official transcript, to NAPAA Scholarship Committee postmarked by February 10, 2017 in a sealed envelope. Winners will be presented at the NAPAA Spring Luncheon. If unable to attend, a written message that will be read aloud to the attendees must be prepared.
