DISCOVER ORANGE BOWL MEDIA INFORMATION Satellite Truck Parking The satellite truck parking area can be accessed on the west side of the stadium through Gate 7, which is on 203rd St. just off 27th Ave. The trucks can park within the fenced-in area between West Blue Lot 11 and West Blue Lot 10 (see map). All South Florida media that regularly covers Dolphins and Hurricanes football can park in their usual location on the East side of the stadium and shoot their live stand-ups from the South sideline For all other media outlets, live shots inside the stadium will be confined to the North sideline. Cameras will need approximately 1,200-1,500 feet of cable to make the run from the satellite truck parking area to the live shot area. Trucks need to be parked by 11 a.m. on game day (trucks can be parked overnight; however, there will not be any security assigned to the parking area). Live Shots On game day, the stadium gates open to media at 4 p.m., 6 p.m. to the public. All media need to be off the field by 7:45 EST. There will be no scaffolding or designated live shot area outside of the stadium. Live shots inside the stadium will be confined to the North sideline. Cameras will need approximately 1,200-1,500 feet of cable to make the run from the satellite truck parking area to the live shot area. During the Game There will be pool photos of team entrances and the coin flip available. Video can be pulled of those same events from ESPN. Note: no video or still cameras (other than the pool, ESPN and stadium video) will be allowed onto the field for the events prior to kickoff. Per BCS Policies, no video taken from the game may be used for any purpose other than (1) up to three minutes for television news programs during the 72 hours after the game or (2) a local or regional coach s television show after the game that is a part of a regularly broadcast series of shows featuring the institution s coach and regularly includes film highlights of the institution s team during the regular season. Any video footage from the game is also subject to additional policies that all media agreed to when they applied for credentials, and will again acknowledge and agree to them when receiving credentials at the media hotel. All information regarding this rule can be found at: http://www.sportssystems.com/clients/bcs/. Postgame Press Conference The press conference video will be made available through a pool feed. The plug-in info is the same as the hotel (see below). Media can also find a live-stream of the press conference on our website at www.orangebowl.org/pressbox. Plug-In Information High Definition: The video feed will be an HD/SDI connection. The required cable needed to plug into the video panel will be an RG6 grade cable terminated with BNC connections (any 75ohm BNC cable should be fine though). At least 50 in length so not everyone is congested around the video pressbridge is suggested. There will be a total of 40 HD/SDI video outputs available on the video pressbridge. Standard Definition: The video feed will be a composite connection (BNC). The required cable needed to plug into the video panel will be a standard BNC cable. At least 50 in length so not everyone is congested around the video pressbridge is suggested. There will be a total of 24 composite video outputs available on the video pressbridge. Audio: The audio pressbridge will be comprised of both mic and line level switchable connections (there will be more mic outputs than line level available). The audio pressbridge will provide 40 outputs. A 50 cable to reduce the congestion around the audio pressbridge is suggested.
