2003-2004 Joint Government Directory "A Vital Partnership" The U.S.-Mexico Chamber of Commerce Chamber is currently preparing what we think will serve as a useful source for reference in both of our countries. The publication, entitled 2003-2004 Joint Government Directories: A Vital Partnership", is designed to assist private business and government officials who need to contact, or know more about, Congressmen and Cabinet members in either capital, Washington, D.C. or Mexico City. The Directory will be distributed to our Chamber members as well as to members of the Congresses of both the United States and Mexico and will include: Current member photos, room locations, phone and fax numbers, and e-mail addresses; Key congressional staff; Biographical data for each member in either Congress; District office information; Complete committee and subcommittee listings with room locations, phone and fax numbers, e-mail and Web addresses; Alphabetized indices, tips on writing or visiting a member, and information on how a bill becomes a law; and Information on the White House, Los Pinos, as well as the Cabinets, Supreme Courts, State Governors and selected agencies for both countries. We believe this is a good way for your company to encourage mutually beneficial relations between our two countries. As a Sponsor contributing towards the development of this publication (valued at $10,000), you will receive copies of the Directory for your use and distribution as deemed appropriate. You will also have the option to display the company s advertisement inside and logo outside on the back cover. Your copies of the Directory will thus provide a useful source of information for key personnel, suppliers and clients, while at the same time adding an extra promotional element to your marketing strategy. U.S.-Mexico Chamber of Commerce 30 th Anniversary 30 Years Promoting Trade between the U.S. and Mexico Gala Dinner & Board of Directors Meeting (December 3-4, Old Post Office Building, Mexico City) A group of distinguished Mexican and U.S. businessmen established the United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce (USMCOC) in 1973. In 2003 the USMCOC celebrates 30 years of continuous effort and commitment focused to promoting trade, investment, joint ventures and good relations on both sides of the border. To celebrate three decades of success, we have planned a Gala on December 4 th to be held in the new "Centro Histórico de México" in conjunction with celebrations planned with Mr. Carlos Slim and Mayor Manuel Lopez Obrador. Our invited Honored Guests: President Vicente Fox, President of Mexico and Amb. Roger Noriega, Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs. On this celebration, we will be honoring former U.S. Secretary of State, Dr. Henry Kissinger and posthumously honoring former Ambassador of Mexico to the U.S. José Juan de Olloqui. During our December 3-4 visit to Mexico City, the Chamber will conduct its semi-annual Bi- National Board of Directors Meeting along with discussions with members of the Mexican Cabinet and Congress and political party officials.
