Dear Friends There are many ways you can ensure your individual voice and the voice of the business community is heard throughout the political process, but no tool may be more useful than having the ability to collectively pool our resources together to provide our members and the region with the means for concerted political action. The dollars contributed through the s Political Action Committee e (GCP PAC) are specifi cally used to provide support for state and local governmental leaders campaigning for election who share your interests. How has advocacy and the GCP PAC supported you and your business lately? Election outcomes mirrored our positions on six local and statewide ballot issues in recent years A more friendly state tax environment for small businesses, without burdening other businesses State funding for GCP recommended community projects Reforms in Ohio s charter school law Water quality protections for Lake Erie and Ohio Balanced, fair workers compensation rates Accessible tax credits for mixed-use development projects Unemployment compensation debt relief for employers Employer protections in medical marijuana legalization legislation that was signed into law Networking opportunities via the GCP Public Offi cials Reception and COSE Day at the Capitol A successful Republican National Convention, allowing thousands to experience our region We have enjoyed many gratifying success stories of late and GCP is more energized than ever to support your work through government advocacy. The GCP PAC represents a strong, unified voice for businesses of all sizes and industries in our region and aids businesses in educating key decision makers on the issues that are important to them. Contributions are made to city, county, and state candidates and elected officials. PAC resources are used to fund candidate campaigns, but do not serve as an official endorsement.
