New Announcements CMS is extending the deadline for EPs to attest to meaningful use for the Medicare EHR Incentive Program 2013 reporting year to March 31, 2014 Avoid the 2015 payment adjustment Extension DOES NOT apply to the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program or the 2013 PQRS EHR Incentive Program Pilot Stage 2 extended to 2016

Clinical Quality Measures Eligible Professionals Prior to 2014 6 out of 44 total CQMs 3 Core/3 Alternate Core 3 From Additional 38 List Eligible Professionals beginning in 2014 9 out of 64 total CQM s 6 Domains Must Select from 3 Domains In 2014 EPs must submit CQMs electronically unless it is the 1 st year of attestation.

Remember the Penalties Applies to Medicare Part B payments If first year of MU must attest by October 1 to avoid a penalty in 2015 Must start measurement period by the first of July
