2014 Measurement Periods Medicare MU measurement period (1 st Year) Any 90 day period (Beyond 1 st Year) Quarter boundary Medicaid MU measurement period Missouri staying with the 90 day period Medicaid Volume measurement period 90 days out of the previous calendar year or 90 days out of the 12 month period just prior to the attestation date

Clinical Quality Measures Eligible Professionals Prior to 2014 6 out of 44 total CQMs 3 Core/3 Alternate Core 3 From Additional 38 List Eligible Professionals beginning in 2014 9 out of 64 total CQM s 6 Domains Must Select from 3 Domains In 2014 EPs must submit CQMs electronically unless it is the 1 st year of attestation.

Preventive Care and Screening: Screening for Clinical Depression and Follow-Up Plan 6. Documentation of Current Medications in the Medical Record 7. Preventive Care and Screening: Body Mass Index (BMI) Screening and Follow-Up 8. Closing the referral loop: receipt of specialist report 9. Functional status assessment for complex chronic conditions 1. Appropriate Testing for Children with Pharyngitis 2. Weight Assessment and Counseling for Nutrition and Physical Activity for Children and Adolescents 3. Chlamydia Screening for Women 4. Use of Appropriate Medications for Asthma 5. Childhood Immunization Status 6. Appropriate Treatment for Children with Upper Respiratory Infection (URI) 7. ADHD: Follow-Up Care for Children Prescribed Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Medication 8. Preventive Care and Screening: Screening for Clinical Depression and Follow-Up Plan 9. Children who have dental decay or cavities

Remember the Penalties Applies to Medicare Part B payments If first year of MU must attest by October 1 to avoid a penalty in 2015 Must start measurement period by the first of July
