? ABOUT THE FUND Established in 2007, the Education Exchanges Support Foundation is the national agency responsible for programmes and activities in the field of and vocational training. To date it has administered more than 50 projects. The Foundation is financed by the European Commission and the Government of the Republic of Lithuania. MISSION STATEMENT VISION By initiating and administering the programmes and projects we actively contribute to the improvement of the system. By 2020 the Education Exchanges Support Foundation the leader in internationalisation development of the system in Lithuania. All kinds of institutions kindergartens, schools, institutions of higher or otherwise related to and vocational training can take part in the projects. Representatives of various associations, business or non-governmental organisations, other structures seeking to improve their field of activities or enhance the qualification of employees can also avail of the opportunities provided by the Foundation. During this period, 4,284 applications for cooperation projects were received, of which 1,289 projects were financed and implemented successfully. In 2014 and 2015, 897 applications were received for individual mobility organisation projects and strategic partnership project implementation, of which 445 received financing. It is planned that in 2014 2015 more than 13,000 participants students, pupils from vocational training schools, lecturers, and specialists of adult and other fields are going to use the Erasmus+ mobility opportunities.
