Hall renovations have begun! The contractor is now onsite and our renovations are underway. It s an exciting time and if all goes well we should be opening the hall in early fall. We all hope to see you come out once it s open to see what has taken place. I ll try to keep everyone posted on progress and how things are going while we anxiously await our redeveloped home. My thanks to your executive and all those volunteers who helped in getting the hall ready for this momentous redevelopment. Larry Lepine president South Clareview Community League Soccer Coaches needed! We are looking for soccer coaches for South Clareview outdoor soccer teams for U4 to U16 (under age 4 to under age 16). You will need the following to become a soccer coach: 1. You will need to have a security clearance. 2. You will need to take the Edmonton Minor Soccer Level 1 Course (South Clareview Community League will pay for your course once you provide a security clearance.) WE NEED SOCCER UNIFORM SPONSORSHIP! uniforms for our youth playing indoor/outdoor soccer. With more youth joining the South Clareview Community League soccer, the more we are in need!! The uniforms we have are not enough for all our players & what we do have are worn out & old. We are looking for companies that would want to sponsor one of our teams. A few days before Valentine s Day, neighbours around Sifton School found beautiful Valentine s greetings hand-made by the Sifton School students! DUMPING When someone deliberately dumps waste on public or private property without consent, they are dumping illegally. This practice is most common in out-of-the-way places like parks, back roads, and the river valley. All waste, including natural materials like dirt and yard clippings, must be disposed of properly. Dumping even natural materials in parks and green spaces is illegal and can harm the environment. Reporting Your Concerns If you witness someone dumping illegally, write down as much information as you can including:» Licence plate number» Description of the vehicle» Description of the people» Description of the items being dumped» Time the incident happened» Location the incident happened If you have a concern about illegal dumping but did not witness the incident:» Discuss the concern with the property owner» Record the address of the violation and a description of the problem if you can t resolve it directly with the property owner» Call 311» Provide your name, address, phone number, and the details of your concern in case your testimony is required in court Responding to Your Complaint After you call 311, the City takes these steps to help with your issue: 1. 2. 3. 4. depending on the circumstances 5. the problem and bill the property owner for the cost 6.
