1. 2014 Key Year First year of implementation of the Erasmus+ programme ( chapter) First year of implementation of the HEPA Recommendation (adopted in November 2013) Adoption of the second EU Work Plan for (2014-2017) New Commission, new Parliament, intergroup First time ever is in the title of a Commissioner's portfolio.
2. 2015 Increasing ambitions First European Week of (Second week of September 2015); Negotiations on match fixing in the Council; Erasmus+ programme: Evaluation, increased financial support, new orientations.

EU Work Plan for (2014-2017) 3 Priorities: - Integrity of sport - The economic dimension of sport - and society 5 Expert Groups: - Match-Fixing - Good governance - Human Resources Development - HEPA - Economic Dimension 16 Outputs: - Doping output finalised; - HEPA output to be finalised in July.
4. Erasmus+ 2014 Call Budget: 22,3 M Results of the first call: 39 projects + 6 Not-for-profit sport events (from 440) 2015 Call Budget: 22,9 M Results of first EWOS call: 5 projects + 5 events (from 78) 2 nd call closed 14 th May: around 350 applications

5. Work Program 2014 Objectives To tackle cross-border threats to the integrity of sport, such as doping, match fixing and violence, as well as all kinds of intolerance and discrimination; To promote and support good governance in sport and dual careers of athletes; To promote voluntary activities in sport, together with social inclusion, equal opportunities and awareness of the importance of health-enhancing physical activity through increased participation in, and equal access to, sport for all.
5. Work Program 2014 Activities Support for collaborative partnerships; Support for not-for-profit European sport events, involving several programme countries; Support for strengthening the evidence base for policy making; Dialogue with relevant European stakeholders.
5. Work Program 2014 Priorities 1. Combatting doping at grassroots level, notably in recreational environments such as amateur sport and fitness; 2. Supporting prevention and awareness-raising among stakeholders involved in the fight against match-fixing; 3. Promoting volunteer activities in sport and supporting innovative approaches to contain violence and tackle racism, discrimination and intolerance in sport; 4. Supporting the implementation of EU principles on good governance in sport;
5. Work Program 2014 Priorities 5. Supporting the implementation of the EU guidelines on Deual Careers of Athletes; 6. Supporting the implementation, in the field of sport, of EU strategies in the areas of social inclusion and equal opportunities, notably the EU Gender Equality Strategy and EU Disability Strategy; 7. Supporting the implementation of the EU Physical Activity Guidelines to encourage participation in sport and physical activity.

HEPA (Health Enhancing Physical Activity) EU actions at the policy level - First ever recommendation in the area of sport; - Underlining the problem of the lack of physical activity in different environments (e.g. school, work); - Pointing out the benefits of physical activity (e.g. lowered risk for certain disease); - Emphasizing public authorities' insufficient actions; - Establishing light monitoring system and defining indicators based on EU PA Guidelines (2008).

6. HEPA (Health Enhancing Physical Activity) EU financial support PREPARATORY ACTIONS 2009-2013 2009: Promoting health and physical activity 9 projects (around 2 ml euro) 2012: - Promotion of physical activity supporting active ageing 4 projects (around 0,5 ml euro) - Awareness-raising about effective ways of promoting sport at municipal level - 5 projects (around 0,9 ml euro)
