Invitation Dear colleagues and friends, On behalf of the Korean Association for the Study of Intestinal Diseases (KASID), I am pleased to invite you to the 2 nd International Meeting on Intestinal Diseases in conjunction with the Annual Congress of the Korean Association for the Study of Intestinal Diseases (IMKASID 2018). IMKASID was held for the first time in 2016 and established itself as a successful and productive international academic conference in the field of intestinal research. Its second meeting will be held in Seoul, South Korea, on April 13 th and 14 th, 2018. The two-day of IMKASID 2018 with the theme "Passion, Devotion, and Action for Intestinal Research" will be the most optimal congress for all the participants to learn, share, and discuss updated information and the results of their research. In particular, the organizing committee has prepared an attractive and indispensable scientific program reflecting the latest trends, issues, and advances on various subjects including inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal cancer, small bowel disease, nutrition, etc. To make IMKASID better suited to its status as an international academy, we have prepared a more substantial region specific forum utilizing the latest knowledge and research fields as based on our mentorship program in Asian countries in the field of intestinal research. In this regard, by holding a joint symposium with the Gastroenterological Society of Taiwan, we plan to open the first ever venue of exchange between South Korea and Taiwan. In addition to the core program, we will also provide an opportunity to exchange the latest multidisciplinary knowledge through joint symposiums with the Korean Association of Immunologists and the Korean Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, and we will also encourage and support the meetings of study groups and committees. We hope this conference will benefit all the participants and provide them with pleasant experiences. We expect to meet all of you at IMKASID 2018 in Seoul! Yours sincerely, Yoon Tae Jeen President Korean Association for the Study of Intestinal Diseases Passion, Devotion, and Action for Intestinal Research IMKASID 2018 01
