HHA SELECT Summer 2018 The HHA select basketball teams will consist of players from around Omaha and surrounding areas and states. This summer the academy will be represented at each level from grades 3 rd -12th. Each player will be placed on teams that are most beneficial to individual development and team success. Teams will be competing at the most competitive tournaments possible to provide for exposure to college coaches and for individual evaluations of strengths and weaknesses. While competing at local and/or regional summer tournaments, HHA team members will receive player development training in their very own practice facility located in Gretna, NE. This top-of-the-line instruction combined with competitive basketball tournaments will ensure progression into maximizing each player s potential. HHA Facility
Philosophy: Coach Hoffman and the HHA Select team philosophy are based on player development. What sets the HHA program apart is the dedication to making each individual player better for not only the HHA team program but to provide them with skills that will translate to each of their high school programs and to make a successful transition into college. I am excited to work to your player to bring not only a high level of skill instruction to help them to become confident, creative players but also bring the enthusiasm and passion for the game to help foster their own enthusiasm and love for the game. The HHA offensive and defensive system is consistent throughout the entire organization. Players will learn how to play and will be given the skills necessary to be successful within that system. Each grade level/team will continue to add layers to the system to help them learn each aspect of the game. Although we always want to win every game, HHA is more concerned about the process of developing individual players within the team concept and the results will follow. We will get many game experiences throughout practice by simulating game situations without the fear of failure. Players will learn new skills and reinforce previous skills by our detailed practices. It isn t just a practice it is an education at HHA.
Coaches and Instructors Equipped with immense knowledge of the game and strong relationships with numerous collegiate programs around the nation, we are invested in the future of our players and are committed in assisting each one of them in reaching their full potential.
