(Nursing) (a) The candidate should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will st complete this age on 31 December of the year of admission. b) The candidate should have completed the two years intermediate/ H.Sc or equivalent course thereof, with science subjects, viz. English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognized Indian University or Pre- University. c) The candidate should have secured not less than 60% of marks on the aggregate of the above subjects in the qualifying or competitive examination conducted on similar lines as the qualifying examination conducted by a competitive body. d) The candidate should be medically fit. Filling the application form 1. The application form should be filled in block letters in the candidate's own handwriting using blue/black ball pen. 2. Affix a recent passport size photograph in the spaces provided in the application form. 3. The application form must be filled up in all respects. Incompletely filled application forms will be summarily rejected. 4. Counseling Schedule: The counseling for Nursing Undergraduate students will be held in the Month of June at Saveetha College of Nursing, Saveetha Nagar, Thandalam, Chennai - 602 105. The admission will be done purely on merit, based on the performance in the Entrance examination. Seat allotment will be done based on the rank list subject to fulfillment of the eligibility criteria. The call letter for counseling will be sent to the selected candidates. The candidate should be present for the counseling at appointed date and time without fail. It is mandatory that the candidate brings the prescribed tuition fee to appear in the counseling. In case of candidates securing equal marks in the entrance examination, the candidate with higher score in the higher secondary examination will be given preference. M. Sc. Nursing Eligibility: A candidate for admission to the M.Sc. Degree in Nursing must possess a Degree of B.Sc. Nursing from a College / University duly recognized by the Indian Nursing Council with minimum 55% aggregate marks and should have one year of experience, after graduation. The candidate should be medically fit. In case of Male Candidates, they should have passed any other course recommended by the Indian Nursing Council in place of Midwifery. These male candidates are not eligible for admission to Branch III and Branch IV irrespective of their experience in these areas. Male candidates who have passed and registered in Midwifery is eligible for admission to branch V irrespective of their experience in these area.
