ABOUT THE REPORT The Telangana CSR Outlook Report is a research publication of NGOBOX, that presents concrete in-depth analysis of CSR spend in Telangana by big companies in the last financial year (2016-17). Our research team brings to you several useful comprehensive reports on various CSR activities taking place in various parts of the country. Not only this, we have also successfully launched three editions of India CSR Outlook Report (ICOR) in the years 2015, 2016 and 2017. Our work has been referred in several news and research articles too. In this report, we present a quantitative insight of the CSR spent by 129 companies having plant locations or CSR projects in Telangana. The data mentioned in this report covers only those companies that either have plant locations/offices in Telangana or have a CSR projects in Telangana. Total no. of companies in the analysis: 129 Total prescribed CSR: INR 6049.80 Cr. Actual CSR Spent: INR 5618.09 Cr. CSR spent in Telangana: INR 247.70 Cr.* Total number of projects: 562 Telangana s contribution in India s GDP: 4.27% Telangana received % of India s CSR fund: 4.40% The 129 companies presented in this report were selected on the basis of following few criteria: I. The prescribed total CSR spend for FY 2016-17 was more than INR 0.25 Cr. II. CSR project implementation in Telangana in FY 2016-17. *The estimated total CSR spend in Telangana is INR 440 Cr., however, the report covers the data that has officially been reported with respect to Telangana state, and does not count in CSR spend reported under Pan-India projects and for the projects where companies have officially not given state-wise CSR data. 1
