VOLUNTEER VIDEO EDITOR We are on the lookout for a video editor to join the One Girl team to help us with creating a range of videos to send out to our stakeholders. Our fundraisers, ambassadors and donors do some pretty amazing things and we love to let them know how much we appreciate it! We often send out short videos thanking supporters for their donations and letting them know what their money will help us do. In addition, fundraisers are regularly filmed putting on different events and we need someone to help us edit these together. challenges, and would consider themselves a jack of all trades. The position operates year round and we would love somebody who can commit to a full year with us, however, hours are very flexible and if you are only available for a short time, still get in touch! One Girl operates as a startup organisation, and as such our positions are very fluid you may be asked to complete tasks that are outside of this position description. WHAT S IN IT FOR YOU? You ll be directly responsible for helping us show off the amazing lengths our participants go to when fundraising for us and inspire others to get involved through promotional videos. You ll get to meet new people and create new relationships within the non-profit, social enterprise and fundraising industry. Besides that, we re a pretty amazing organisation to work for. Most people who join us never want to leave. Seriously. You ll help us give our amazing fundraisers, donors and partners the recognition they deserve for the amazing things they have done for us! You ll be able to use certain videos in your portfolio, but all rights of the videos need to remain with One Girl.
RESPONSIBILITIES. Editing videos to send to fundraisers, donors and our supporters with clips sent through to us from various fundraising events, filmed in our office or from our existing catalogue. Organising and managing our online and offline video databases. Potential for light videography work from within One Girl HQ.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE. Video editing experience desirable. Whether you re a student, avid weekend videographer or a professional, we d love to see your previous work. We have a bunch of videos to be made throughout the year ranging from thanking our donors to promotional videos for fundraising campaigns so the level of work can be matched to the experience of the right applicant. YOUR VALUES & COMPETENCIES. You are proficient with Adobe Premiere. You have a keen eye for detail. You re not a perfectionist but appreciate things being done in the best way possible. You have the ability to spot key areas for improvement in the way we connect with our stakeholders through our videos! You re reliable. You can follow through on days you commit to. The timing of sending out our videos is vital to encourage further donations and participation! We mostly use Adobe Premiere for editing and it would be great if you had experience in the same software. Sufficient experience with similar software will still be considered.
TIME COMMITMENT. We are expecting a commitment of 1 day per fortnight, based at the OG HQ in Collingwood. You are also required to attend volunteer meetings every two months. These are held on the first Tuesday of the month at OG HQ from 6-7pm and they re a lot of fun! Ideally, you ll begin immediately and be able to commit for a minimum of 12 months.
