Program Overview Perioperative Services are undergoing dramatic change. Payment is moving from volume based to value-based while advances in pain control and technology are accelerating the movement and growth of both ambulatory and out of OR cases. Key to success is creating a culture where anesthesia providers, surgeons, interventionalists and nursing are engaged and committed to the organization's success. This seminar will provide all Perioperative leaders the tools and insight to drive this cultural transformation. Program Goal Through presentations and interactive learning sessions with the nation's foremost leaders in value-based care, participants will develop the tools necessary to return to their home medical centers, ambulatory surgery centers, surgical and anesthesia practices to enact immediate change. Thought leaders in anesthesiology, surgical subspecialties, interventional radiology, and health systems management will share their experiences from the front lines of the transformation taking place in our medical system. Presentations from the Association of Anesthesia Clinical Director (AACD), the Society of Non-OR Intervention and Anesthesia (SONORIA), and the International Consortium in Operating Room Management Education and Training (icormet) will serve as the foundation for this ground-breaking educational experience. Program Objectives New Governance Models for OR and Out of OR Areas Define value based care broadly across the US Health system, and specifically within their sub-specialties. Create modalities at their home institutions to deliver value in the care of their patients and to the payers. Integrate similar value-based care goals across disciplines. Create methods to measure value and quality in the care of patients. Accreditation The activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the American Society of Anesthesiologist and the Association of Anesthesia Clinical Directors. The American Society of Anesthesiologists is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The American Society of Anesthesiologists designates the live activity for a maximum of 16.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Registration and Fees We request that you register in advance. Payment must be included with your registration form or can be made online through the AACD website at www.aacdhq.org Refund/Cancellation Policy A full refund of registration fees, minus a $100 administrative fee, will be available if requested in writing (email is acceptable written format) and received by February 8, 2018.
