You can also send out requests to various Facebook pages asking them if they will help promote your event. 3) Check out the city s website where you will be hosting the event. This is what will entice journalists in doing a piece on your event or even attending the event to take photos. It s great to use personal stories and photos from OFCP members to illustrate just how great of an impact the funding programs make! Ryan Garnet, 35 Camp Every year when Ryan returns home from Shadow Lake Centre, we notice a change in him. He behaves in a more confident and mature manner. To be away from his family and all the caregivers in his life, and put into an environment that demands a slightly more chance for independence, both in his personal care and in the decisions that he makes throughout his day, enriches his sense of himself, and that carries on throughout the year.

Do your best to promote your event in every way possible 5. Have one person responsible and accountable for ALL donations. 6. Use OFCP material for hand outs 7. 16 Sample Thank You Letter YOU PLAY AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN HELPING PEOPLE WITH CEREBRAL PALSY IN ONTARIO! Dear, We want to thank you for being amazing by becoming a part of the extended OFCP family! We truly value your dedication and appreciate your contribution to the success of this event! Your contribution and efforts go to supporting our members to fully access the community they live in. Whether that is through mobility devices, making their environment fully accessible, or participating in an activity of their choice your commitment makes a huge impact on all of us. People with CP and their families will also often have significant personal financial costs associated with gaining equal access to all areas of life. Your donation works toward providing funding for wheelchairs, accessibility aids, communication devices, community activities and much more! It is generous people like you who make these funding opportunities possible! The work of OFCP is critical. Without donations like yours, we would not be able to continue our work improving the lives of people like Nicholas (see photo) smiling in his manual wheelchair funded by OFCP! Sincerely, Name
