...a touch...a smile...a kind word Homecare with excellence www.caring4u.co.uk

a very warm welcome to Caring 4 U In 2002 my Father worked in the care industry. Some of the horror stories that he used to talk to me about inspired me to start Caring 4 U. I decided that there could be a superior service offered to individuals who were at home and wanted to stay there. When I say superior service, I m talking about the sort of service that you or I would expect without compromise. Simple things like a regular carer so that a relationship can be formed. The carer arriving at an agreed time, every time and working through an agreed and regularly updated care plan. But most of all, we believe in allowing people to have dignity in their own home and to receive the help and assistance they need. We are comfortable with working directly with private clients as well as working with professional introducers, District Nurses and various Social Service intermediaries. Whatever your budget, and whatever your requirements, we will try to accommodate your needs. We need you to feel comfortable with the help that we re looking to provide. The idea of this brochure is to take you through all the questions that you might have and give you the reassurance that each element that goes into supporting you is taken care of. I hope that from the very first time you have any dealings with Caring 4 U, starting with this brochure, you will feel the positive difference. Whether you are contacting our friendly and professional staff members in the office, are reading some of our literature or perhaps have met one of our fantastic carers, the feeling that we want you to have is one of comfort. Comfort that we are here to help you and provide the service that you deserve. If you have any questions, you are more than welcome to call the number below and speak with any of the team, or indeed myself. Thank You. Dr Tony Clarke-Holland PhD Managing Director, Caring 4 U (UK) Ltd Tel: 01371 811873

To promote the importance and benefits of working as a team. We believe in being a pioneer - not following others, but doing the impossible. We believe that honesty and integrity are vital ingredients of everything we say and do. We believe in a treating others the way we wish to be treated ourselves. 24 hour live-in care A truly viable alternative to a Residential Home, allowing people to maintain their independence in the comfort of their own home. 24 hour live-in care is exactly as it sounds; a carer lives with the client/s in their own home providing a bespoke service as desired. The care package is tailored to specific needs and is flexible so that it may change as the needs of the client change. Bespoke care plans are compiled during a meeting with an experienced member of the Caring 4 U (UK) Ltd team and the client, we also actively encourage family members or other concerned individuals to be present at the meeting. A live-in carer may do as little or as much as is required, in general it includes the day-to-day running of the home coupled with the care needs of the client. Some of the unique benefits of live-in care are: Individual personal attention Peace of mind for the client and the family Companionship and security Cost effective one-to-one care Flexible and adaptable care Whilst the service provided is called 24 hour live-in care and a carer will indeed live in the home, they are not expected to work 24 hours a day. Reasonably speaking a carer will be on duty for a period of 15 hours a day, out of which they will require break periods totalling two hours, this can be continuous or sporadic. However, each care package is individual and the working day will reflect this and will be managed accordingly. Ideally carers require their own bedroom with a bed, TV, chair and storage. Food and drink needs to be available for the carer whilst they reside in the client s home. Should the carer have special dietary requirements then they are obliged to supply their own provisions. Continuity of care is paramount to our belief of providing a good service. Many of our carers remain with the client on a long term basis, usually between 6-8 weeks, and then take 1-2 weeks off to recharge their batteries. Carers are carefully selected prior to placement always ensuring that the client s needs, wishes and requirements remain at the forefront.

Thank you once again for your outstanding service to my mother.

the process We can be introduced to a situation by any of the Social Care departments or approached directly by a client or a loved one. However the introduction is made our process is always the same (except in the case of emergency care), it is FREE of charge and FREE of obligation up to the point where your care package commences. Telephone An initial telephone call will assure you of the service Caring 4 U (UK) Ltd offer and answer any questions or queries you may have. Meeting A meeting is arranged at a time that is convenient with you to visit the home. The aim of the meeting is to introduce Caring 4 U (UK) Ltd and make you feel comfortable and assured that we will provide the service you require. A member of the Caring 4 U (UK) Ltd team will ascertain from the information provided exactly what level of service is required. We believe that it is the smallest details that make a big difference; from breakfast in bed at a certain time, to laundry being ironed in a particular fashion, our service allows you to be specific to enable us to provide you with a professional and pleasing service. Assessments During the meeting we will carry out three assessments: 1. Risk Assessment of the client s home 2. Moving & Handling Assessment appertaining to the client 3. Care Needs Assessment The information gathered from these assessments are utilised to provide a tailor made care package specific to individual needs. Scheduled reviews are conducted in line with Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and as and when circumstances change to ensure that we are continually providing the exact service required. The following documentation kept in the home includes: Assessments Medication records Record of care sheets to be completed by the carer each visit detailing tasks/duties performed, any concerns regarding the client e.g. health, emotions and necessary actions to be reported. Emergency contact details Relevant forms, e.g. bladder/bowel chart, sleep chart, body chart, suggestion/concern/review request.

I just want to express my heartfelt thanks for your part in looking after my friend, you gave her such tender loving care, we did not realise that there were such people as you.

testimonials Here at Caring 4 U (UK) Ltd we are very proud of the services that we provide, but like most people we re always pleased to receive kind words relating to our work. Throughout the brochure you ll notice a number of compliments and endorsements bestowed upon us - all of which are gratefully received. Caring 4 U offers a genuinely caring and professional service.
