ambition without pretence Thinking big without going overboard is the balance we try to strike because this is what allows us to commit ourselves to one project after another without crushing the competition. Entrepreneurs and business leaders are a source of pride and inspire others to follow in their footsteps. They share their achievements knowing that their city appreciates what they do and will return the favour. Success as a key element for social cohesion: we reap the benefits of this scarce commodity in our unique business ecosystem. proud + appreciative = driver of performance

ambition without pretence a city of renown Is Québec different from other cities? But of course! And to maintain this uniqueness, we don t think twice about challenging conventions and traditional thinking, and we steer clear of ready-made solutions. What s more, we are driven by an unshakable desire to reinvent ourselves. This distinctive personality trait is the cornerstone of numerous exemplary achievements that are the envy of many. Making our mark 4 Status of provincial capital 5 Heritage city 7 an unparalleled entrepreneurial ecosystem When the Québec City area-based companies distinguish themselves, members of the business community are quick to rejoice in their success and applaud their accomplishments. This sense of collective pride fuels our aspirations and serves as a veritable catalyst. Success breeds success, as they say. And what we want is to see you succeed! Making our mark The way we live and work, our natural environment, our expertise and our status as a gateway to the world all help us stand out. A successful environment The vibrancy of our entrepreneurial community is a source of collective pride and we do not hesitate to support the ambitions of our entrepreneurs. A community helping you attain your goals The entrepreneurial fiber of the area has been further developed in the last years and continues to grow at Velocity V. This explains the continuous creation of coworking spaces under the impetus of local companies which see it as an opportunity to collaborate by sharing knowledge and resources. Incubators and accelerators While incubators provide services to nurture new businesses, accelerators are designed for more established companies. They provide specialized programs to help businesses grow, particularly by helping them seek financing. School for entrepreneurship While some people are born with entrepreneurial spirit, guidance on good practices or a step by step guide to launching a business can only help. Many teaching establishments in the region have developed structured mentorship programs that are adapted to the realities and needs of today s entrepreneurs. Acceleration programs Many accelerators are popping up to support entrepreneurs. These programs can provide many different types of support: offering mentorship programs, arranging meetings with decision-makers, providing spaces, facilitating participation in targeted events, etc. Crowdfunding platform Crowdfunding can allow businesses to obtain financial support from an entire community generating a significant number of individual donations to launch their activities and receive more financial support. ÉCOLE D ENTREPRENEURSHIP DE BEAUCE The only school in Canada focusing on the development of entrepreneurs. It provides the Québec entrepreneurial elite with training through a transfer of experience between entrepreneur-coaches and entrepreneur-athletes. Group of key leaders and institutions working together to propel the region towards the 4 th industrial revolution by providing the developers of major innovation projects with the resources they need to succeed. LA RUCHE As a crowdfunding organization, it encourages new projects by bringing together different players - the business community, promoters and civilian contributors - all of who are focused on growing and promoting the area.
