Please schedule all non-emergency doctor visits and other appointments that would cause your junior to miss school for other days. PROM tickets on sale now during lunch. Prom is April 29 th, 8:00 midnight at The Ice House. Tickets are $40.00 each. All Prom goers must purchase a ticket. ACT Test Prep Boot Camps: Tuesday, March 14 th (3-5pm), Thursday, March 16 th (3-5pm Saturday, March 18 th (9-12pm). Sign up and with Coach Scott or Ms. Vaughn. SCHS will have its next blood drive on Tuesday, February 21st from 8:00 am-2:00 pm. Please make sure to sign up with Mrs. Beaverson for your time; you must be 16 years of age to donate. Help give the gift of life! The SCHS Band will be hosting a fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse on February 27. All proceeds will help the band purchase new percussion equipment! You can purchase a dozen original glazed or a certificate to pick them up at your convenience. See your favorite SCHS Band member for more details! All HOSA members competing for the state Leadership Conference in March must have their hotel money in to Mrs. Beaverson by February 28th. Also, make sure to order your buttons and patch for your HOSA official dress. Any questions of what you need for the official dress please see Mrs. Beaverson or Mrs. Campbell. Congratulations to our new National Technical Honor Society members! This group of 30 students will make up our charter chapter for SCHS and will have their induction ceremony in early March, date and time TBA. National Technical Honor Society recognizes academic achievement within the Career Technical Pathways at Spence County High School as well as
their participation in their student organizations such as FFA, FCCLA, TSA, HOSA, and FBLA. Emiliano Jauregui and Jenna Newton finished the year with great swims in the 50 and 100 freestyle Congratulations to Madison Carrico who has signed to shoot on the Campbellsville University archery team next year. Spencer County FFA President s Day Agricultural Commodity Breakfast will be Monday, February 20 8:00 10:00 am here at the high school. Tutoring is offered on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the media center, 2:45-3:45. For students taking our AP classes, tutoring is available for them as well (same time and place). SCHS March Madness is scheduled for Friday, March 17. Students can earn their way to March Madness by: No unexcused absences from January 23- March 15 AND no grade lower than a C by March 13 AND no tardies to school or to any class AND no disciplinary referrals! Just a reminder, when students are absent please send a parent or Dr. note to be excused. Please include first and last name of student on their Attendance notes.
