WAIS also welcomes non-member physicians, Fellows, RNs, PAs and RTs working in Image Guided Therapy positions. WAIS Members More than 250 physicians from 15 western states including Hawaii, Alaska, California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Nevada, North Dakota, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, Texas and British Columbia, Canada make up the WAIS member roster. In recent years, conference registration has been open to non-member attendees. In 2017, ~7% of nonmember physician attendees were from 10 different states outside the WAIS region, including FL, GA, IL, MA, MI, MN, MO, NY, PA, and WI. CME Accreditation The CME portion of the WAIS Conference is jointly sponsored by the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR). Each lava exhibitor will work closely with the 2018 WAIS Program Director to select specific products to demo. To facilitate discussions about procedure successes and pitfalls, the workshop will be led by your corporate representatives AND a WAIS physician expert who has substantial procedure experience with your product. The workshop format is a working lunch and will allow physicians to move freely between the different demos during the one-hour designated time slot. Thought Leader Sessions (Lava and Platinum Level Only) Back by popular demand, this session offers dedicated one-hour interviews with physician thought leaders of your choosing. Select 3-4 physicians to conduct product reviews, identify unmet procedure needs, or recognize product usage trends. In 2018, the Thought Leader Sessions will not run concurrently as they have in the past. This will mean that companies do not have to compete for faculty. Instead, these sessions will be scheduled in a WAIS VIP room with rotating time slots over the course of 3 days. First to register gets first time slot selection.
