CLUSTER ACADEMY 2015 How to build up and manage successfully cluster organizations based on 17 years of experience in Upper Austria Date: Tuesday, 24 th November to Friday, 27 th November 2015 Venue: Park Inn by Radisson, Hessenplatz 16-18, 4020 Linz

Welcome in Upper Austria, the cluster region! Upper Austria is Europe s leading region with regard to cluster and networking organisations. Nowhere else industry is as efficiently networked and the cooperation environment as friendly as in this Austrian region. Clusterland Upper Austria is the single umbrella of seven cluster organisations and two cross-sectorial networks. Christian Atmann, MBA, Director of Clusterland Oberösterreich In Austria as well as abroad, Upper Austria is recognised as a showcase region for innovative and successful cluster setup and networking policies! Clusterland is the host of 1,871 member companies. The success of the organisation is proven by more than 456 cooperation projects, dedicated primarily to the development of new technologies and products. Region of clusters Innovation through cooperation The statistics are impressive: 456 submitted, current and concluded projects with more than 1,841 participating companies were initiated since the launch of the cluster and network organisations. In total, 1,890 events have been organised, attracting approximately 69,000 participants eager to find out the latest news and trends in their line of business. Countless measures were implemented to booster existing strengths. Cross-sectorial networks Innovation through competence Many areas with a positive impact on the competitiveness and competence of a company are not or not entirely specific to a particular industry. The experience of one sector can be transferred to another sector and hence companies from the different sectors can benefit from this approach. Therefore various cross-sectorial networks spanning several industries were set up, for instance in the fields of human resources, and resource- and energy efficiency. They focus on key issues for entrepreneurial success, in particular on non-technological innovations.
