Our A.A. meetings are going very well. A flower has bloomed within my heart as a result of the Steps and the A.A. program of recovery; finally I m grasping the fact I can t have serenity unless I can live life on life s terms. Regardless of where I am the ifs and what ifs, no longer reside in my vocabulary. I m accepting and playing the cards that I ve been dealt to the best of my ability; one day at a time. Carl J. When we get a letter like this, it makes all our efforts pay off. Why not join us in helping other inmates in the prisons. We need volunteers. Please telephone. Steve D. Helpline Committee The Helpline will be open for 24 hours on Christmas and New Year's Day To cover that, we need you on: December 24 th, 11:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. December 31 st, 11:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. December 25 th, 4:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. January 1 st, 4:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. You will not be alone, there will be 2 members per shift. All you need is one year of continuous sobriety. Anyone interested, please call Jean-Luc D. Tel: (514) 374-3688. ******************************* Public Information Committee How do we spread the word that Alcoholics Anonymous is there in the community? How do we dispel those false ideas about who is and who isn t an Alcoholic? How do we educate the non-alcoholic, dismiss the ignorance? There are numerous ways to get the job done. Interested? Come and join us in pursuit of informing those less knowledgeable. The English Public Information Committee is looking for a few good members. You can contact the following members to learn more about this fascinating service opportunity.
