A SMP meeting was held on 05 April 2018 at Stepp Stables. Sgt Hosch called the meeting to order at 1330. List of those in attendance is provided on the sign in sheet (attachment 1). 2. Mr.Jaenichen - Bachelor Housing Located in Bldg. 1341 BEQ Manager Course April 25-26, Bldg. 2291 in Conference Room. Call 760-763-3918 to request training. 5. Ms.Megan Hartwell, Operation Bigs Volunteer to be a mentor on base. You commit to meet with your Little Brothers and Little Sisters for one hour four days a week (times and dates are the same every week) at the child's school. During that hour the volunteer and child play games, sports, and do other fun activities together, while building a friendship. They have summertime activities available as well. Ms.Theresa Flores, Athletics April 4 - CG Cup Warrior HITT Challenge Registration begins at 0730 21 Area Fitness Center, 210750, Camp Pendleton South April 11 CG Swim Meet 0730 at 13 Area Pool. This is a team event, 5 people per team. Each team member is to compete in one individual event and one relay to obtain CG Cup points. Events: 50m Freestyle, 50m Backstroke, 50m Sidestroke, 100m Freestyle, 25m Cammie blouse swim, 4 X 50m Freestyle Relay, 4 X 25m Tube Swim. Bathing suit is required. Each team is to bring one Cammie blouse required for the 25m Cammie blouse swim. CG s Cup Points are awarded for these events. April 18 Soccer League Mandatory Coaches Meeting 1000am at Semper Fit HQ Bldg. 1253. League Season Begins: May 7, 2018. Space is limited for this league. First come, first served. The league is ONLY for active duty military personnel stationed aboard Camp Pendleton, no entry fee. CG s Cup points will be awarded. April 25 Home Run Derby - 14110 Softball Field. Registration: 0730-0815 Derby Starts: 0830. May only use ASA approved bats. Supply your own pitcher or use provided pitching machine. May 2 individual Grappling - Paige Field House Registration/Weigh-ins: 0730-0815. Weight classes will consist (135, 145, 155, 170, 185, 205 and heavy weight = over 206). May 9 3 Point Shoot Out - Paige Field House. Open Division, Co-ed Event. This challenge is an individual competition. Commanding General s Cup Points are awarded for this competition. This competition is for active duty military stationed aboard Camp Pendleton. There is NO entry fee. Golf - Semper Fit is seeking applications from Marines interested in participating on the 2018 All- Marine Mens and Womens Golf Teams. The All-Marine Mens and Womens Golf Teams consist of six men and three women and will be selected by trials held at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, CA 15-20 July 2018. The teams selected from the trials will compete at the Armed Forces Golf

Championship 21-26 July 2018 at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, CA. Marines selected to participate on the Armed Forces Golf teams will be eligible to compete at the Conseil International du Sport Militaire (CISM) Championship 26 August - 2 September 2018 in Warendorf, Germany. Interested Marines must submit an online application to HQMC MFS NLT 14 June 2018. The All- Marine online application system can be accessed from www.usmc-mccs.org/services/fitness/allmarine-sports. 9. For volunteers that work over 40 volunteer hours they are allotted $10 off the price for a ride. 11. Newsletter April 2018 Advanced registration is required for all SMP trips, events & volunteer opportunities. Program events are open only to single Marine and Sailors stationed on Camp Pendleton. Participants who volunteer must register in advance with SMP HQ in order to receive a letter of appreciation. Volunteers must provide their own transportation except for PE fitness Challenge. A signed command permission slip is required for all SMP activities. All activities depart from Semper Fit Headquarters Bldg. 1253. Unless otherwise stated and require that participants utilize the provided transportation. SMP Volunteer Opportunities Retirement Home Visits Have dinner with the residents. Bravos are the requested uniform for these events. Max of 6-10 volunteers needed for each opportunity. Each event begins at 1600. 04/10 - Rancho Vista Retirement Home 04/11 - Pacific Place Retirement Home 04/25 - Fairwinds Retirement Home 04/04 & 04/18-1000 Base Stables Volunteer Day Camp Pendleton Stables, Bldg. 1516. Participants will help clean & groom horses, clean stalls, & help with general maintenance at the stables. Uniform of the day is civilian attire. Closed toed shoes are required. A maximum of 10 participants are needed for this opportunity. Participants must sign up prior to the event.
