She has worked extensively in Aged mental health in the community and has managed an acute psycho geriatric assessment unit. She is currently a Clinical Nurse Consultant (Cognition) in Acute Care. Robyn has presented at many conferences and has educated staff, locally, interstate and overseas in the Management of Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD) using individualised plans and psychosocial interventions. Robyn won the State Nursing Excellence award 2007 for her contribution to Mental Health Nursing by developing a service to support residential care staff to manage people with dementia who exhibit BPSD. She is committed to providing quality evidence based education and consultancy to the aged care industry.
