Grants are provided to a number of community and voluntary groups along with professional arts organisations throughout the city area. Arts Grants allocations are in alignment with the policies set out by the Cork City Council Arts and Cultural Strategy 2010-2015. Section B to only to be completed by those involved with Professional Arts. Section C should only be completed by those involved in Voluntary & Community Arts. DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF ALL APPLICATIONS IS 5PM THURSDAY 26 TH NOVEMBER 2015 APPLICATIONS ARE ASSESSED USING THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA Applications must be submitted before the stated deadline. Requested accompanying material must be submitted. Applicants must be located or provide services within Cork City Council s administrative area. Work must be artistic in nature. Work must be carried out on a not-for-profit basis. Codes of practice, child first guidelines, health & safety regulations, equal opportunities. Recognition and accommodation of the culturally diverse interests of the city. Procedures for documentation and evaluation. PROFESSIONAL ARTS SECTOR CRITERA ARTISTIC CRITERIA Track record. Quality of Artistic samples. Evidence of continued artistic growth & development. Ambition of work programme, innovation in programming/artist selection. Impact on discipline development. Offering opportunities for young/emerging arts for diverse backgrounds. STRATEGIC CRITERIA Applicant s contribution to and impact on the arts in the city. Programme development and capacity building. Extent of Regional and National Profile. International Links and Profile. Audience development strategy. Plans for documentation, evaluation and reporting. OPERATIONAL CRITERIA Professional management and governance.

Income from other sources, a minimum of 50%, in kind support is eligible. Artists Fees in accordance with professional practice. Accessibility: location, cost and special needs. Public Presentation of work. Cork City Council Arts Grant Form 2016 VOLUNTARY / COMMUNITY ARTS CRITERIA ARTISTIC CRITERIA Demonstrated connection to a specific artistic or cultural activity Programmes extension and enhancement of participants understanding and/or practice of art form/s. Quality of experience and engagement with the art form in the proposed activity. STRATEGIC CRITERIA Contribute to dialogue on the importance/ relevance of art within a community. Demonstrate an interest in growth, development and renewal s activities. OPERATIONAL CRITERIA Equality of access to and participation in activities. Evidence of sound book-keeping practices (Certified annual accounts should be supplied). Evidence of a committee based governing structure for organisation. If this information is not supplied at this time, and your application is successful, it will be required before any payment of this grant by Cork City Council. If your organisation is tax registered you are required to provide a copy a valid Tax Clearance Certificate (Form TC2 or TC3). This is not necessary if you can quote a Charity Number. All contractors or third parties employed, paid or grant aided and in receipt of payment in excess of 6,500 in a 12-month period must produce a current C2 certificate or tax clearance certificate. Amounts over 6,500 are reported to the Revenue Commissioner on an annual basis. 2.
