Gergia Tech Research Crpratin (Funded FY12; $15,000) A tw-phase study investigating: (1) the value f time spent by Americans n artsrelated activities, and (2) an analysis f the impacts f arts districts n neighbrhd characteristics, using the American Time Use Survey and the Current Ppulatin Survey, and als prprietary data that includes infrmatin n arts district clustering and the ecnmic value and sciecnmic characteristics f U.S. neighbrhds. Harvard University (Funded FY12; $17,000) A study f causal factrs pertaining t the birth and death rates f arts and cultural institutins, using the IRS Frm 990s fr nnprfit arts and cultural institutins (1989-2009). Amng factrs that will be explred are: size f rganizatin; funding surces and levels; type f rganizatin; lcatin; and gegraphic cncentratin. 11
