Who also participates in high school baseball or softball. You will need to submit a brief essay (500 1000 words), submit a letter of recommendation from a current or former coach, and a letter of acceptance at a two or four year school. You can stop in the Guidance Office to pick up an application Deadline-Tentative February 2015 Dr. Mary & Dr. Henry Paul Memorial Scholarship This scholarship if for a Senior who has an outstanding achievement in the regents courses in biology, chemistry, and physics and in any college level science course. You must also demonstrate through class & laboratory work an ability to think in abstract terms, to apply scientific models and principles, use the mathematics of science with ease,

communicate ideas clearly both in oral & written form. You can stop in the Guidance Office to get an application. They also have empathy and compassion for others. They should have shown the ability to think outside the box and be their own unique person and are willing to stand up for their beliefs.

LEADS Scholarship- This scholarship is for a senior who has been a part of ADSIP for at least two years, must be planning to enroll on a full-time basis at a University or College. Hutchinson Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is for a senior attending a two or four year accredited college. This scholarship is sponsored by the Bainbridge Fire Department and Emergency Squad. Bainbridge Lions Club Scholarship- This scholarship is for a senior that is entering into any accredited 2 or 4 year fall college program, pursuing a career in a Health Care profession including: Therapy, Nursing, Eye Care, etc. Bainbridge-Guilford Alumni Incentive Award-$1,000 Award for College This scholarship is for a senior that is accepted for fall entry into any post high school education or career training regardless of major or minor course.

Bainbridge-Guilford Alumni-$2,500 Myrtle Pagett Award (for Nursing and Teaching) This scholarship is for a senior entering any accredited college or Nursing program within 12 months following graduation. You will need to be a hard working and diligent student. General need for financial support, planning on a nursing or teaching career (Preference for nursing). Bainbridge-Guilford Booster Club Award- This scholarship is for a senior that plans to attend a two or four year college and pursue an education in a health or physical fitness related field. Otis A. This scholarship is for a senior who will be judged on Scholarship, Leadership and Financial need. You do not need to have a relative as an Elk member. This student must exhibit knowledge, charity, community service, and integrity. You can apply on line at http://elks.org/enf/scholars or stop in the Guidance Office. Deadline-Tentative November 2014 Sidney Federal Credit Union and NYSCUL Scholarship-One application applies for 10+ local scholarships This scholarship is for a SFCU Member who will attend a 2 or 4 year accredited institution. Deadline-Tentative January 2015 Chen-Del-O Federal Credit Union- This scholarship is for a member of the Chen-Del-O Federal Credit Union and a college-bound student. You need to have academics, extracurricular and community activities. You will need to do an essay, have career and education goals, and a teacher s reference. You will need to

deliver the application to Chen-Del-O Federal Credit Union before February 27, 2015. Deadline-Tentative February 2015 Southern Tier Basketball Officials (STBO) Carl Gaffney Scholarship This scholarship is for all academically deserving, graduating Senior basketball players. The school must also be serviced by STBO Officials. Deadline-Tentative February 2015 Southern Tier Technology Educators Association (STTEA) Scholarship- This scholarship is for a senior enrolling in a college or university as an Engineering or Technology major for 2015-2015 school year. B-G is a STTEA High School. Deadline-Tentative February 2015 Broome Community College (BCC)-Presidential Honors Scholarship This scholarship is for a student that has a 90 or above GPA, June grad, fall 2014 enrollee, completed online app. www.sunybroome.edu Deadline-Tentative March 2015 Ladies Elks Auxiliary BPOE #2175-Margaret Jester Memorial Scholarship - $500

This scholarship is based on need and personal attributes. Deadline-Tentative March 2015 Monday Evening Musical Club Scholarship- This scholarship is for a Chenango County Senior that plans to study music with the intent of pursuing a career in music. You will need a GPA of atleast 85 and an audition is required. Deadline-Tentative March 2015 Preferred Mutual Foundation Scholarship- This scholarship is for a student with a GPA of 95 or higher. There are two scholarships. One is for $1,500 and the other is for $1,000. You will need to be very specific on the application, so please follow directions carefully! You will need to have the application to Preferred Mutual in New Berlin. American Legion Post 183 and Tri-Town Scholarship(s)- one application two scholarships These scholarships are for seniors attending a two or four year accredited college. For the American Legion Post 183 Scholarship you will need to have a relative that is a member of the American Legion Post 183. You can apply for both scholarships, but you may only win one. Deadline- April 17, 2015 Auxiliary to the Chenango County Fireman s Association-

This scholarship is for a senior who is a fire fighter or their parent/guardian belongs to an active Fire Dept., EMS, Rescue Squad or an Auxiliary in Chenango County. Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) Scholarship- This scholarship is for a student who has a career in insurance industry (medical, legal, computer, architectural, actuarial, administrative, marketing, engineering and financial. CWS Charitable Foundation Scholarship- This scholarship is for a student who must major in Human Services realm: Social work, Rehab Counseling, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Psychology. Knights of Columbus Scholarship-Sacred Heart Council #4937 This scholarship is for seniors who are parishioners of Sacred Heart Church in Sidney, Saint John s or Saint Anges. This scholarship is for $150.00. David Rossie Journalism Scholarship- This scholarship is for a student who is going to pursue a career in journalism, academic performance, writing skills and community engagement.

Opportunities for Chenango Scholarship-James E. Nolan This scholarship is for a senior who attended a Head Start Program in Chenango County and is accepted into a post secondary program. Progressive Dental of Norwich, pllc- For this scholarship you will need to write an essay about why you feel you should be awarded the scholarship. Along with the application you will need 2 letters of recommendation. You can fill out the application on line at www.progressivedentalny.com or you can stop in the Guidance Office for an application. Southern Tier NYS Restaurant Association Educational Foundation Scholarship- This scholarship is for a NYS resident admitted to a post-secondary school where they will major in foodservice culinary arts, hospitality management or a related field.

Chenango County Historical Society- This scholarship is for a Senior who must be entering a two or fouryear college entering in the fall after their high school graduation. You must be planning on having a major or minor in museum studies, history, studio art, library sciences, education, or a related field. You must also have completed volunteer service, with one or more not-for-profit organizations in Chenango County. You will also need to have a minimum of a 3.20 (or equivalent) cumulative GPA at the time of the nomination. Commerce Chenango- This scholarship is for a senior who had a GPA of 3.0 or higher. You will need two letters of recommendation. There is an essay of 750 words demonstrating a strong commitment to community. Sidney Area Hospital Foundation-Edward Roelle Scholarship This scholarship is for a senior intending to pursue their education in the healthcare field. You will need to include a cover letter and a copy of your high school transcript. Lucy Funke Scholarship Award-

This scholarship is for a student entering a 2 or 4 year college for visual, performing, or creative arts. Mohawk Regional Dietetic Association- This scholarship is for a senior who is attending an accredited college (the accredited schools can be found online at www.eatright.org ) You must also reside in the Mohawk Region which included Chenango, Delaware and Otsego Counties. You can fill out the application on line at http://mrda.ieasysite.com. Click on the Links to find the scholarship information. Chenango County Colorscape Arts Festival-Francis K. Wilcox Scholarship Award This scholarship is for a High School art student. Experience a professional art show as an exhibitor. You can go online at www.colorscape.org for an application. The applications are to be sent to the Art Teachers. Chenango County Firefighters Association Scholarship- This scholarship is for a graduating son or daughter of a fireperson, a fireperson themselves, or a student majoring in any fire science fields. Doctor Thomas F. Manley Scholarship/Loan Fund-$500 up to $2,000

This scholarship is for the upper half of the class, with a need for financial assistance and sincere interest in the profession of nursing. Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 2782 Heritage Scholarships-VFW Scholarship Angelo Garito Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is for a senior with exceptional work habits for their volunteer services to school and/or community. This scholarship is in honor of Angelo Garito who served during WWII and gave over 50 years as a life member of the VFW Post 2782 or Norwich. Over 30 of those years he was the Post Quartermaster. He also served a few times as president of the Board of Directors along with giving many hours of service to his community. VFW Scholarship-Dr. Martin Jacobi Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is given to a senior preparing for a career in a medical profession. In honor of a well known Norwich physician, who served during World War II and was a life member. VFW Scholarship-Christopher Rock Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is given to a senior preparing for a career in a skilled trade requiring post secondary education. In honor of the namesake of Christy Rock Post 2782 who was a World War I veteran. He pursued a career as an industrial chemist prior to his untimely death at the age of 36 from the complications of wartime disabilities.

VFW Scholarship-Robert Kappauf/John Greeley Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is given to a senior with exceptional work habits and for their volunteer services to their school and community. Named in honor of both men who were WWII veterans. Robert and John were outstanding examples of people giving their time for the benefit of others in our community. Robert served over 20 years as Post Adjutant and as Chairman of the Bingo Games. John was a past commander of this Post and served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees Corp. Price Chopper Scholarships- There are 4 You will need to go online to apply at www.pricechopper.com/community/scholarships. Please read them over carefully for the qualifications. You will need a high school transcript, summary statement, three letters of reference, an activity profile/resume of community service including honors/awards, etc. Chenango County School Counselor Association- This scholarship is for a senior who has been accepted to a two or four year college and pursuing a degree in a human service field (ex: education, counseling/psychology, health care, public service etc) You will need a high school transcript, proof of acceptance to college, essay, one letter of recommendation, and a completed activity list or resume.

Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #99- This scholarship is for a graduating senior who will be furthering their education in the Criminal Justice field upon graduation. You will need to do an essay on why you would like a career in criminal justice.

State Scholarships Scholarship for Academic Excellence- This Award of $1,500 or $500 renewable up to four years at least two winners from each high school in NYS. This year we received one $1,500 award and two $500 awards. You MUST be attending a recognized NYS college or university on a full-time basis in the fall of 2015. The recipient will be chosen based upon the following criteria: Weighted average of below named regents exams 1. Comprehensive English (weight of three) 2. Algebra 2 and Trig. (weight of three) 3. US History & Gov. (weight of one) 4. Two highest science regents (weight of one for each). There is no application for this award, the Guidance office will calculate averages. AXA Achievement Scholarship-(in association with U.S. News and World report) This scholarship is for a student with ambition and drive, determination to set and reach goals, respect for self, family and community, and the

ability to succeed in college. Also, participates in community service and/or co-curricular activities, demonstrates financial need, and plans to enroll in additional education by fall 2014. This scholarship is for a student who has a major in agricultural related areas; will review academic achievement and leadership abilities and NYS residency. Deadline-Tentative January 2015 Association of Fire Districts State of NY- Ned Carter Past Presidents Scholarship - $1,500 This scholarship is for a senior who is a firefighter or related to a firefighter in an affiliated NYS member organization. Must pursue a post secondary career in a community service related area (i.e. fire, science, nursing, social work, health related career, teaching, librarian, etc. Deadline-Tentative February 2015 (postmarked by the 1 st Sat. in March) NYWEA- There are three $2000.00 scholarships available. One is for Children of NYWEA Members, One is for NYWEA Student Members and the other is for High School Students Pursuing Environmental Studies in a four year college. There are also additional scholarships available through NYWEA chapters. Deadline-Tentative February 2015 NYWEA Major Scholarship- This is a 4-year scholarship worth a total of $10,000. You must remain a NYS resident, be a graduating high school senior who will be enrolled at a College or University by September 2015, must be enrolling in and graduate from a BS or BE full-time program with a focus on environmental issues. You must also maintain atleast a 2.5 to a 3.0 GPA

for the 1 st three years. For more information stop in the Guidance office to pick up an application. Deadline-Tentative February 2015 William Morehouse Scholarship-NYS Builders Assoc. Research and Education Foundation This scholarship is for an Undergrad who is studying construction or a related field. Applicants need to contact the HBA or a member for sponsorship, interview, etc. Please make sure you start this application early. Deadline-Tentative March 2015 SAANYS Region 6 Scholarship- This scholarship is for a senior who has demonstrated good school, community citizenship, planning to go onto higher education. There is a 2 nd award available for children of SAANY members. Deadline-Tentative March 2015 Senator Libous Student Community Service Award- This scholarship is for a senior enrolled full-time in any New York State college or university. This scholarship is for a senior who is a JR. Firefighter, Explorer Scout or RAM with a parent/legal guardian that is a member in good standing with the FASNY and this senior is enrolled in the fall of 2014 at an accredited 2 or 4 year institution or higher learning. You can apply online @ www.fasny.com There are (15) $1,500 scholarships to high school seniors entering college. Deadline-Tentative March 2015 NYS Association of Agricultural Fairs and NYS Show People s Association- This scholarship is for a senior pursing a degree in college and have been active in a fair that is a member of the NYSSAAF or NYSSA. Special consideration will be given to those who are pursuing a degree in agriculture, fair management or the outdoor amusement business. You will need to apply online at www.nyfairs.org/scholarship This will need to be done by the 2 nd Saturday in April NYS Deputy Memorial Scholarships (5 scholarships and 3 of them are based on county you live in)- This scholarship is for a senior attending an institution of higher learning and pursuing a career in criminal justice. The American Legion Legacy Scholarship This scholarship is for a student who is a dependent child as defined by the United States Armed Services who has a family member who were federalized an die on active duty on or after September 11, 2001. Must be a Senior or high school graduate. You can apply on-line at www.legion.org or stop in the Guidance Office to pick up an application. Safari Club International (SCI) Scholarship-(2) $1,500 scholarships available This scholarship is for a senior majoring in: foresty, conservation, environmental sciences, veterinary medicines, fisheries and wildlife management. Three Point Scholarship Program-First 200 applications ONLY This scholarship is for a senior with a minimum 3.0 GPA, who demonstrates financial need and commitment to community service. The Cortland County Trappers Association- This scholarship is for a senior with a minimum GPA of 2.5 or above. Your college major will need to be in Wildlife Management, Natural Resources Conservation, Forestry or a related field of study. You will need to provide a letter of intent and also provide 2 letters of recommendation.

Bound Tree Medical Legacy Scholarship-(State Approved EMT of Paramedic Program) This scholarship is for a student who MUST be a son or daughter of a career or volunteer Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, or Firefighter who is interested in a career in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and attends a State approved EMT or Paramedic Program. Mohawk Regional Dietetic Association (MRDA) Scholarship- This scholarship is for a senior who is interested in dietetics/nutrition care AAS or BS degree program accredited by the ADA. This will be based on academics, honors, work experience and interest in dietetics. AVRE Charles V Costello Memorial Scholarship Program- This scholarship is for a senior who is blind or visually impaired and is pursuing a post high school education. Deadline-Tentative July 2015 American Association of State Troopers (AAST) Scholarship(s)- This scholarship is for children of AAST trooper members by natural birth, legal adoption, step child, or legal guardian. There are three scholarships listed. There are two for $1,000 each and one for $1,500. Students can be eligible to apply each year for a total of three scholarships

Komen College Scholarship Program-Breast Cancer This Scholarship is for a high school senior, college freshman, sophomore or junior who has lost a parent/guardian to breast cancer or a breast cancer survivor diagnosed at 25 years or younger. You must have a high school and/or college GPA of 2.8 and no older than 25 years old by

May 2015. You must also be a driven advocate for breast cancer education and research who is able to complete a minimum of 20 hours of community service per semester. This will be based on originality, creativity, practicality and thoroughness. You will need a transcript, two letters of recommendation: One from your community service organization and one from school. College Specific Scholarships Grand Canyon State Games Essay Contests- This scholarship is for students K-12. You will need to submit a 200 500 word essay on one of the themes provided by the games.
