Buses operate on a fixed route but will deviate off the fixed route up to ¾ of a mile to pick up or drop off passengers. This service is only available on the Route 52 Diamond Point east of Blyn. There are no eligibility requirements for using the deviated service; anyone within the designated area can request a deviated trip. Requests must be made by 4 pm the day before you are traveling. Clallam Transit System Passenger Code of Conduct For the safety and comfort of all, Clallam Transit System requires our customers to: 1. Pay the correct cash fare or show a valid pass when boarding 2. Remain seated while the bus is in motion 3. Hold on to a hand rail while the bus is in motion if no seats are available 4. Keep aisles free of all items 5. Ride quietly and respect the rights of other passengers (using drugs or alcohol, smoking, littering, spitting, possessing strong odors, playing audible music, swearing, or otherwise behaving in an unruly or harassing manner are all prohibited) 6. Keep all beverages in spill-proof containers 7. Refrain from eating 8. Do not carry hazardous materials while riding with us 9. Keep animals, other than service animals, in a closed container 10. Allow transit operators to drive their buses safely 11. Cross behind buses, and wait until after the buses leave to cross the street 12. Walk with bikes and carry skateboards at any Clallam Transit System properties Passengers may be excluded from CTS buses and facilities for not complying with this code of conduct. Depending upon the nature of the violation, passengers may also be prosecuted for violation of RCW 9.91.025 which regulates unlawful bus conduct. Non-discrimination Policy Pursuant to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title II of the Americans with Disability Act, Environmental Justice regulations, and in accordance with applicable state and local laws: CTS grants all citizens equal access to its transportation services. If you believe that you have received discriminatory treatment by CTS on the basis of your race, color, national origin, economic status, disability or limited English proficiency, you have the right to file a complaint with the General Manager. Pets If you wish to transport a pet, it must be placed in a secured pet container with a lid and not restrict the bus space for other passengers to sit. Passengers shall not smoke, vape or consume food and drink on the bus. 22
DIAL-A-RIDE The DAR SERVICE AREA runs north of Highway 101 from Old Olympic Highway intersection east to Blake Avenue in Sequim. Service hours for DAR trips are 7:30 am until 5:30 pm Monday through Saturday. Destinations within Sequim city limits are also served by DAR on Saturdays only. To arrange for this demand-response service, a passenger should pre schedule rides at least one day before and up to seven days in advance of the desired trip. Scheduled DAR trips may require the passenger to transfer to a fixed route transit bus (Route 30, Route 40, Route 50 or Route 52) in the Sequim area to complete the trip. To schedule a trip call 360-452-4511 option 1 between 8 am and 4 pm Monday through Saturday. This DAR Service is available to anyone who lives in or who needs to travel to any point in the service area. The pick-up and drop-off point may be at the closest suitable intersection to your destination. Please be prepared for a pick-up allowing for a 15 minute window either before or after your scheduled time. PARATRANSIT Clallam Transit provides curb-to-curb service for ADA eligible persons in Clallam County. Paratransit service locations and times are comparable to CTS fixed-route service. This is a shared origin-to-destination service which may make multiple stops to serve other customers. Please refer to the PARATRANSIT PASSENGER POINTERS at www.clallamtransit.com for details and fares. Paratransit applications are available online or from CTS (contact info on Page 24). For questions regarding paratransit service, please call CTS at 360-452-4511 (Monday through Saturday between 8 am and 4 pm). An automated notification system will contact paratransit and dial-a-ride passengers by phone, text, and/or email to confirm reservations and provide estimated arrival times.
