Horse Project News: Ranch Horse Competition will be 3PM Aug. 8 @ Erickson s arena. You will run the competition, and there will be a potluck to follow! Burgers will be provided. Ranch Horse Show Rules and patterns are on the Fergus County web site at http:// www.msuextension.org/fergus/4-h/ horsepattern.html be sure to review them before the show. There will be carpet cleaners in the school on the 9 th, so we have been asked to use the Gym doors by the South side of the building to enter and exit. We appreciate your help in maintaining our use of the school for interview day! Around our Area: Montana is hosting the 2017 National 4-H Western Heritage Conference and Invitational Shoot in Fort Benton, MT on August 1-3, 2017. If you are not aware of this project, it is a combination of 4-H Shooting Sports and a study of the frontier West from 1860 to 1900. The project began in Montana in 2008, was accepted as a national 4-H shooting sports project in 2016, and now has a national enrollment of 1400 4-H members. Missouri hosted the past two very successful national conferences and Montana is pleased to host in 2017. Approximately 250-300 4-H members, parents, and leaders attend annually from around the country. For more information, go to: www.4-hwesternheritageproject.org That schedule is on page 6.
