Christopher Higginbotham reported for Lent the church led a "40 days of Lent" in which when you give something "up" for Lent, you also give something for Lent, in this case can goods for the needy. We collected/distributed 7689 can good items for 5 organizations that reach out to the homeless, needy, less fortunate, and victims of abuse who are in recover. Gary Reynolds reported recycling 34 lbs of recycling paper, cardboard, glass and aluminum cans. Carlton Staples reported recycling 20 lbs of paper, glass and aluminum cans. Carl and Kyle Mogilka reported recycling 38 lbs of aluminum cans, glass, paper and plastic. Charles Phillips Sr reported recycling 28 lbs of glass, aluminum cans, paper and cardboard. Three unit members along with some members of the USS Freedom spent a day this month at the beach in Myrtle Beach, SC John Mogilka Jr completed 8 SFA courses.

John Mogilka Jr awarded the SFA Boothby-50 Alisha Peffer completed 11 SFA courses. Alisha Peffer awarded the SFA Boothby-50 William Robins awarded his first college degree, an Associate of Arts with Honors and continues to work toward his two Bachelor of Science degrees, and he is maintaining a 4.0 GPA. William Robbins family reported recycling 21 lbs paper and 1 lbs aluminum. Peffer Family reported recycling 14 lbs paper, 1 lbs plastic, 2 lbs aluminum and 32 lbs glass. Melony and Kayla Nelson reported recycling 7 lbs paper, 1 lbs plastic, 1 lbs aluminum cans and 24 lbs glass. Dave Miller reported the following: Finished reading, "Star Trek Th- David Miller waa unable to attend the annual Aviation Day at the state capitol in Jefferson City, MO. David Miller was unable to attend the Starfleet Region 12 Conference in Fulton, MO, the weekend of April 21-23. Nikki and Max Miller were actually in Region 15, April 20-22, when they visited the University of Connecticut campus for a college visit. Max is planning on going to UCONN. Max Miller was recognized as a Scholar-Athlete during his high school senior awards event. Max is again participating in his high school s Track team this year as a long distance runner. Millers enjoyed Earth Day events at Forest Park, St. Louis. David Miller took in the Degas Exhibit at the St. Louis Art Museum. Paul C Dyl completed 15 SFA courses. Dave Miller completed 45 SFA courses. Paul C Dyl continues to serve the SFA as the Director for Flag Officer School and Assistant Directors for The Gorn Academy, Bridge Officer Certification Program and SFA Degree Program. Paul C Dyl continues as the Assistant Director for the SFMCA Infantry School. Paul C and Paul G Dyl reported recycling approx. 42 lbs of recyclables this month.
