Blanchfield Army Community Hospital Holiday Schedule BACH personnel will observe the President s Day holiday Monday, Feb. 19. Therefore, all primary and specialty care services and pharmacies will be closed. The Emergency Center, inpatient services, as well as supportive supplementary services will remain open to provide inpatient, acute and emergency medical care. Health Themes Sleep Awareness Month: The quality of Soldiers' sleep has a direct bearing on readiness. Getting 7-8 hours of sleep each night will result in increased productivity at work, as well as a reduction in injuries, errors and accidents. American Heart Month: BACH s social media will feature health messages about reducing the risk of heart disease and recognizing the warning signs. Cardiovascular disease including heart disease, stroke, and high blood pressure is the number one killer of men and women in the United States.
Blanchfield Army Community Hospital Blood Drives The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be at the Commissary Feb. 7, and Blanchfield s Main Hospital Feb. 9. BACH is a recipient of blood from the American Red Cross. TRICARE Pharmacy Changes On Feb. 1, copayments for prescription drugs at TRICARE Pharmacy Home Delivery and retail pharmacies increased. Changes are required by law and affect TRICARE beneficiaries who are not active duty service members. Prescriptions filled at military pharmacies remain available at no cost. Save the most money by filling your prescriptions at military pharmacies.
