STAT/ TEAM WILDCAT President Primary responsibilities of this positon include facilitating communication with the University of Kentucky Alumni Association and the members of Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow and TEAM WILDCAT. The chair will be instrumental in the creation of events and promotions in order to increase Alumni Association membership and coordination with all athletic related communication. The chair will oversee the Leadership Committee and ensure all tasks/goals are met, executed, and communicated to the STAT/TW advisors in a timely fashion. Overall point of contact for the organization. Establish weekly meetings with the STAT advisor. Establish bi-weekly meetings with the TEAM WILDCAT advisor. Manage the Leadership Committee event tracker. Coordinate monthly Leadership Committee meetings. Coordinate monthly individual chair/coordinator/committee check-in meetings. Attend and assist TEAM WILDCAT coordinators with sporting events. Attend Alumni Association events occurring throughout the year. Assist UK Athletics with any events or promotional opportunities throughout the year. Comfortably speak in front of large groups. Prepare power points and discuss the organization at summer freshman advising conferences. Manages online monthly sports sign ups (basketball, football, and Olympic sports), while coordinating overall communication with members about upcoming sporting events. Supervise tweets, actions, etc. of organizational social media accounts to assure they are deemed appropriate by both athletics and the alumni association. Employment Period: June 1, 2017- May 31, 2018. Must be able to work at the King Alumni House throughout the duration of the academic year. Payment: Hourly wage working a maximum of 15hr/week. 2
Campus Outreach Chair Primary responsibility of this position is to communicate with both the campus and local communities regarding STAT/TEAM WILDCAT. The chair will work to collaborate and engage with other campus units and groups. Manage philanthropic opportunities for organization s members. Seek partnership opportunities for STAT/TEAM WILDCAT events on campus and within the Lexington community Coordinate on campus tabling events and promotions. Oversee the Membership Benefits and Homecoming coordinators. Attend bi-weekly meetings with advisors and chairs. Attend monthly meetings with Leadership Committee. Must send a minimum of one email a month to committee members (communication is required to increase during times of increased organizational events). Hold a minimum of one committee meeting per semester. Chair Period: June 1, 2017- May 31, 2018 Must attend football home games (two absences are allotted). Granted first opportunities to working men s basketball games. Expected to attend three sporting events outside of football and men s basketball per semester. Expected to volunteer at Alumni Association events throughout the year. Campus Outreach Coordinator The overall function of the Campus Outreach coordinator is to support the CO Chair. This position will fulfil any major duties in planning and executing the overall function of this team. 3
Membership Benefits Chair Primary responsibilities include working with the University of Kentucky Alumni Association s membership team to ensure students are knowledgeable and utilizing their Alumni Association benefits. The chair will also work closely with the STAT chair to increase Alumni Association student membership. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES Organize special membership benefit opportunities, including but not limited to, intramural teams, athletic facility tours, t-shirt giveaways, etc. Produce material displaying discounts alumni membership provides. Actively communicate with Alumni Association membership team to provide student feedback. Produce and distribute student membership surveys. Coordinator Period: June 1, 2017- May 31, 2018 Attend Campus Outreach committee meetings. Attend bi-weekly meetings with the organization s advisors and chairs. Opportunities to work sporting events based on participation. Member Benefits Coordinator The overall function of the Member Benefits coordinator is to support the MB Chair. This position will fulfil any major duties in planning and executing the overall function of this team. 4
Homecoming Chair Primary responsibilities include planning and implementing homecoming events on behalf of STAT/TEAM WILDCAT. Coordinator must maintain active communication regarding homecoming events once the positon has been granted until the end of the coordinator term. Work directly with the Homecoming Coalition, STAT/TEAM WILDCAT President, and organization s advisors regarding the week s events. Organize and attend all homecoming events that STAT/TEAM WILDCAT participates in. Ensure STAT/TEAM WILDCAT sponsored events are adequately staffed with Leadership Committee volunteers. Actively communicate and collaborate with various campus organizations. Active communication with organization s advisors, chairs, Leadership Committee, and members. Send weekly emails to Campus Outreach committee members and Leadership Committee. Coordinator Period: June 1, 2017- May 31, 2018 Attend all Homecoming Coalition meetings. Attend Campus Outreach committee meetings. Attend bi-weekly meetings with organization s advisors and chairs. Availability to work on homecoming event planning during summer break. Opportunities to work sporting events based on participation. Homecoming Coordinator The overall function of the Homecoming coordinator is to support the HC Chair. This position will fulfil any major duties in planning and executing the overall function of this team. 5
DanceBlue Chair Primary responsibilities include serving as the overall team captain for the STAT/TEAM WILDCAT team and coordinating opportunities that will maximize the organization s fundraising potential. The chair will be responsible for ensuring our organization is represented at the event. The chair is to instill the passion of DanceBlue into his/her committee members and welcome their desire to participate. Communicating with the community to organize fundraising events. Work and establish strong relationship with committee members. Maintain active communication with the organization s chairs, advisors, leadership committee, and potential dancers. Notify members of spirit point opportunities obtained by participation in other teams fundraisers. If selected to the Adopt-A Family program, must communicate with family and organize opportunities for both dancers and leaders to interact with the family. Track team s fundraising totals. Attend bi-weekly meetings with advisors and chairs. Attend monthly meetings with Leadership Committee. Attend weekly captain and Adopt-A-Family meetings. Hold a minimum of one committee meeting per semester (meetings should increase as dancers have been finalized and events begin to increase.) DanceBlue Coordinator The overall function of the DanceBlue coordinator is to support the DB Chair. This position will fulfil any major duties in planning and executing the overall function of this team. 6
Marketing/PR Chair Primary responsibilities include overseeing and maintaining all social media platforms utilized by STAT/TEAM WILDCAT. The chair is responsible for keeping our target audience engaged in our organization anywhere they go. Update all platforms frequently and appropriately. Update platforms during organization s events. Must post highlights during games. Publish monthly STAT/TEAM WILDCAT newsletter. Promote the organization throughout campus in various facets including, but not limited to, hanging posters, writing on whiteboards, collaborating on tabling, etc. Actively communicate with organization s chair and advisors. Attend bi-weekly meetings with the advisors and chairs. Attend monthly Leadership Committee meetings. Must email Leadership Committee and members on ways they can assist in promoting the organization. Chair Term: June 1, 2017- May 31, 2018 If requested, position can lead to an internship with UKPR. Must attend football home games (two absences are allotted). Granted first opportunities to working men s basketball games. Expected to attend three sporting events outside of football and men s basketball per semester. Expected to volunteer at Alumni Association events throughout the year. Marketing/PR Coordinator The overall function of the Marketing/PR coordinator is to support the Marketing/PR Chair. This position will fulfil any major duties in planning and executing the overall function of this team. 7
TEAM WILDCAT Coordinators Primary responsibilities of this team position will include not only leading the student section, but also interacting with students for a more lively game experience. This team must be willing to be a liaison between students, the organization, and the athletic department. These leaders must be willing to go outside the box, interact with others, and are capable of making in-game decisions. TEAM WILDCAT Coordinators must not only include other leaders in the student section experience, but also both members and nonmembers alike. Assign and delegate appropriate roles to other leaders before, during, and after the game Encourage committee members to attend events outside of football and basketball Responsible for planning interactive in-game experiences for students to promote the overall fan experience for students. Responsible for helping promote Olympic sports and recruiting students to attend games in student sections. Collaborate with the social media chair, as all sporting events should be tweeted on the day of the event Plan and propose tailgates and other exclusive activities. Work with UK Athletics staff to create unique and appropriate fan engagement plans for sporting events. Have distinct plans for each game and direction to engage students and enrich their student section experience. Responsible for ALL sports, but should be able to appropriately delegate if necessary Prepare, document, and share ideas well in advance to allow enough time to review and apply. These ideas should advance the student section experience with fun, exciting, and interacting activities. Work with STAT/TEAM WILDCAT President in the coordination of CatWatch parties, Away Bus Trips and special athletic events. 8
