Aware of the big climate changes occurring today and that have yet to happen, you desire to contribute, to play a role by proposing architectural projects anchored into two wide fields: the Oceans and Space. You are actively farsighted. You feel responsible in the development of societies lifestyles and your leitmotiv implies that you build differently, with the ideals that a better, more respectful use of the biodiversity that composes these two worlds for the greater good must be your credo. Propose us you architectural projects! For the 7 th edition of its international competition in architecture, the Foundation has added a focus for each of its three categories. This approach is born of a will to address these specific issues in the mediumterm or to counter a worldwide emergency. ARTICLE 1 PURPOSE OF THE COMPETITION The prizes of the Jacques Rougerie Foundation Institut de France, are given in order to offer architects, designers, engineers, and urban planners a unique opportunity to propose innovative, audacious, and disruptive projects. These architectural projects, based upon emerging technologies, a prospective vision and cross-curricular competences science, sociology, climatology, geography, etc. shall give answers to major environmental issues of our era and to future issues. They will have to take into account the tenets of sustainable development and to contribute to the integration of the sea and space in the development of our societies: new material such as solar tiles, new techniques, and fundamental advancement in terms of conception and building, energy saving, low consumption of natural resources, recyclability, etc. 1/6

This innovative architectural project shall take place in either the ocean, guardian of our environmental and societal quality of life, or space, field of development and of technologic applications, unavoidable for the future of our civilisation. Architectural innovation and sustainable development to respond to major climate changes are the key words in this call for creativity. The competition is free and is for students and professionals. The prizes are awarded to the author of a project or a team, no matter their age, sexe, origin, religion. The candidates are advised to set up a multidisciplinary team in order to respond of the competition and to give more value to collective thinking and cross-curricular competences. Each Grand prix is worth 7 500 and the Focus is worth 2 500.
