Essential Duties and Responsibilities Defines key reference architectures, transition current-state architectures, and develops technical "playbooks" to provide guidance to infrastructure teams, as well as identifying / driving architecture Key Design Decisions (KDDs). Leads architectural governance for transformation programs s/he is assigned to design, ensuring the program is making the right technical/architectural decisions and escalating issues through all exception management processes, as facilitated by the Covenant Health ITS Steering Committee. Evaluates technologies for system and organizational IT strategy, and collaborates in ROI and Cost-Benefit Analysis on IT solutions, architectures, and projects.

Produces documentation to support the coordination of project tasks, to describe the purpose and use of features, tools and functionality, and for proposals to drive technical decisions such as solution selection, technology selection, etc. Interfaces with IS clinical and other IS customer-focused departments to determine technology needs and functionality. Creates roadmap documents, architectural documents, process documents, standards documents and governance documents pertaining to Covenant Health information technology and IT supported systems. Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health and the Catholic Health Ministry. Other duties as consistent with this role. Job Requirements Job knowledge and skills Ability to forecast innovation beyond current issues and prepare and plan for long term, end game solutions. Ability to assess and understand the impact of technical decisions and architectural changes. Ability to abstract key information to empower good decision making by both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to develop plans for implementation of large and complex projects. Ability to communicate, teach, collaborate, and train others (e.g. System Administrators, Information Security, Technical Support staff) on technical decisions, implementations, projects and roadmaps. Attend all scheduled meetings (ie: Medicare, Medicaid), to collect Resident specific information which effects billing. Reconcile the Month End Revenue Transactions to the General Ledger System and Account Receivable aging. Act as the primary contact with the rehabilitation services provider on record keeping and billing issues. Work with the rehabilitation provider to insure all proper denial letters (ABN s) and other necessary billing documentation is in place. Responsible for the overall Nursing Facility Accounts Receivable system; including billing, collecting, posting cash and rebilling in a timely manner. Collect on unpaid claims, initiate payment arrangements, monitor and pursue delinquent accounts. Work with Administrator, Regional Controller, and Supervisor to collect unpaid balances, post liens or resolve delinquent accounts (serve 30 Day Discharge Documentation).
