How to ensure success? SCORING 0 The proposal fails to address the criterion or cannot be assessed due to missing or incomplete information 1 Poor. The criterion is inadequately addressed, or there are serious inherent weaknesses. 2 Fair. The proposal broadly addresses the criterion, but there are significant weaknesses. 3 Good. The proposal addresses the criterion well, but a number of shortcomings are present. 4 Very good. The proposal addresses the criterion very well, but a small number of shortcomings are present. 5 Excellent. The proposal successfully addresses all relevant aspects of the criterion. ESSENTIAL TIPS 1 DO plan for 6-12 months before. 2 DO work out your plans/costs properly. 3 Work with people you trust. 4 Yes - You will have to travel! 5 Only do something you actually want/were going to do. 6 Do ensure you meet criteria of the call. 7 Ensure your project is beyond the state of the art why? 8 Ensure you have clear plan for dissemination AND exploitation. 9 Do remember what this fund is about. 10 Have someone proof read your bid to ensure clarity AND hit BOTH 7+above. 11 Do go for it!...and don't moan you will get something out of it.
