Job Description JOB TITLE: PHARMCAY COUNTER ASSISTANT REPORTS TO: PHARMACY MANAGER HOURS: 20 per week - Monday 9.00-18.00, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 14.00 to 18.00. SALARY : 7.50 per hour The post holder will work in a customer focused role alongside pharmacy technicians, under the supervision of the pharmacy manager and registered pharmacist in a community pharmacy settings. The range of duties is broad and includes the following: taking in and handing out prescriptions using dispensary and computer systems helping to maintain reasonable dispensary stock levels ordering items for use within a department receiving, loading, unloading incoming goods from wholesalers, manufacturers and elsewhere selling over the counter medicines answering queries on the supply and availability of medicines, where this is within their competence responding to telephone and face to face enquiries of a routine nature from patients, their representatives, members of the public and a wide range of staff groups and referring queries to the relevant member of the pharmacy team when necessary drawing any problems identified or queries raised to the attention of pharmacists, pharmacy manager or pharmacy technician Confidentiality: In the course of seeking treatment, patients entrust us with, or allow us to gather, sensitive information in relation to their health and other matters.
